I personally witnessed someone get a 9,410 check and they paid in 798.00 that is crazy! you should only be entitled to what you paid in if you deserve it back and nothing more.

All I can guess is that you prepared their taxes and just broke the law. You would not know the exact # paid in and received if you did not. I hope whoever it is presses charges on you for disclosure of privileged information when they find out who you are.

Ummm...nope didn't do taxes for anyone ever! I didn't give names, so hard to prove who it was, and if you are so offended by it you must collect like this as well. It happened to be my own family, and they were showing us at their home last weekend. Anywho..... take your own advice..and.."mind your business".....

I see I am working with one of the finest here....
It was my business because they made it my business... furthermore, you assuming that the only way someone would know their business is if they prepare the taxes is a little off because as we all know..... there are no secrets in this area. Local people talk about themselves just to be able to talk, and when people are tired of that then they talk about everyone else to have reason to continue to talk.

Do they have kids? Were they eligible for the earned income credit? I would say this is where the large refund came from no to mention possible deductions they got for itemizing. If you are so upset, take it up with the government instead of running your own family down and bringing it on here. If you want people to mind their own business, keep yours to yourself. Or is it jealousy that made you post family business here??

Far from jealously, I do just fine with out government hand, outs weather it be the welfare they receive or the large tax returns. I work and earn all that I have. I only used the example and didn't give names, so the "family business " wasn't exposed.....relax.
I am proud that I not only support myself, but apparently many of you on here with my taxes.
I wouldn't imagine what many would do if the government changed the rules on them and they didn't get more then they paid in. See, I would still afford my vacations and fun times, but many wouldn't as they still wouldn't have the ambition to earn it.

Yes, tax department very generous. I declare 9 children and take them to cousin's house so he can declare 9 children. That is how it works. Big refund federal check never bounce.

It used to be called "borrowing" children. That is how it worked until the government required a Social Security number for each person, including children. BUT, people still try to get away with it. Eventually, the feds catch up with it...

Maybe the federal government should give lessons to E-town!!

Just taking a shot here, but you weren't an English major, were you?("hand, outs weather ...")("I wouldn't imagine what many would do ...") And no, I am not "on welfare" or whatever you're going to knee-jerk accuse me of being, I just hate to see idiotic points being expressed/defended so idiotically.

Time to neuter all persons on public assistance. Anyone on assistance who becomes pregnant must

Is OK. I did not know about Social Security numbers but do now. They helped me get checks started for all 9 of my children that have ADHD and now will get a check every month until 18 years old. MrChing buy new Toyota.
