I lied! I said that I would never go back there, but I did. What a terrible mistake.$14 dollars for chicken wings that were terrible. Warm beer, horrible service. obnoxious people, smelly and overly loud atmosphere. This time I mean it. NEVER AGAIN!!

I was just saying to my friend I hadn't been out there this year and would have to remember to go. Maybe I will go to sentinel grill instead haven't tried it yet, have you been there?

Agree to everything said, especially the obnoxious people.

Haven't tried the new, new Carillon aka the Grille. I still don't know why it changed ownership so quickly.???
I have a clue about menu and prices, though, and would rather go out of town with friends if I'm going to spend that much money...just like getting out of town on occasion.

Hey Ace---You don't know what you're talking about. Mark and Erin are the nicest people you will ever find. I have no idea who you are comparing them to, but you are way off base. Actually, the more that I think about it, you do not know them at all. You just posted that comment to show your stupidity.

If they still employ the 50++ waitress who talks about all the customers in the kitchen...right after being all smiley to your face, then they better rethink their hiring policy!

None of these places are bad, or very good either. Food is okay, prices are okay, if you don't want to travel. BUT, the music that some of these places bring in is pretty bad and always has been. We always avoid music night.

The Firehouse sucks and that's putting it mildly.

I also prefer a restaurant to be just a restaurant, not a restaurant/bar with noise in the background. That's why we have stopped going to other restaurants in the past.

Are you out of your mind? When you start quoting what you "heard" and do not have any real evidence of what you're talking about, you are just showing your stupidity.JERK!!!

I don't think any of you posters know Jack Sh!t about good food or good restaurants!!!! Ticonderoga has mediocre food at best. Only place I've been in that I can brag about is Libby's . Get a palate for Christ's sake !!!!!!

I agree except that I think that Libby's is mediocre right along with the rest of them. I haven't had anything out of there I can't make as well in my own kitchen, as can my mother or my sister or my aunt or my brother-in-law's father, for that matter. The nearest bakeries that are worth my money are all in the Burlington area.

They are sinking themselves...free drinks to friends all night and then cant pay their employees on time! The place is always busy but they cant seem to pay the staff on time and they cant even get up from their drinks to help out the business they own! No wonder they have lost some of their best staff....and by the way he food has gone down hill and the price keeps going up

Here we go again. Recently we had some young adults visiting us for the weekend. They arrived after we had eaten so they wanted to go to the Firehouse for a few drinks and something to eat.Naturally,I advised them against it but they were stubborn and went anyhow. Yup--you guessed it. They complained that the drinks were way to expensive (beer) and the food was really expensive, small portions, and ill prepared. They also said that the noise was so loud that a normal conversation at the table was impossible. Also, the service was slow because the bartender spent all the time talking to friends and not paying attention to the other patrons. I guess nothing changes with those people. I hate to say I told you so,but I said to them- I TOLD YOU SO!!!

What do you mean "those people"? You mean, people who can afford to pay $5 for a GOOD beer? "Those people" really are bad news!

I think most folks know the more popular restaurants in Middlebury. If you want to try some place especially nice try the Waybury Inn, e Swifthouse Inn, the Middlebury Inn or the Grapevine Grille, all in Middlebury. You will want to dress up a bit, but the food, service and atmosphere are all very pleasant. No bar bands. Very nice surroundings!
