The war in Syria: NATO war against Islam
Arayik Sargsyan, academician, Honorary Consul of Macedonia to Armenia.
The NATO countries, Israel, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, especially faced with a choice: either accept that the attempt to impose a puppet regime in Syria finally failed, either, putting aside all the tricks of "soft power", move to an open and costly military intervention.
Problems with holding a conference on the Syrian settlement, as expected, emerged almost immediately after the Moscow agreement on this matter between Lavrov and John Kerry in just two days in Rome for a meeting with the Jordanian and Israeli ministers disavowed the U.S. Secretary of State himself, saying that Bashar al-Assad and his entourage can not be part of the transitional government. In response to the guidance secretary of state Kerri U.S. ambassador to Syria, Robert Frost, who left Damascus for a long time, secretly arrived in Turkey for a few hours in the area of Aleppo, where the meeting with opposition leaders urged them not to worry and assured full support to the bitter end. Thus, the prospect of a peaceful solution to the "beginning to fade, not having had time to blossom." For the Americans, "suiting all" arrangement - this is when everyone is satisfied with what the Americans want. Although Damascus, for obvious reasons, denies involvement in military operations on its side of foreigners, many sources say that they are still there, and directs the commander of units of "Al-Quds" in the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Iranian general Qassam Suleimani ... According to Arab media , this mission has laid on him the spiritual leader of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei. In addition, the Secretary General of "Hezbollah" Hassan Nasrallah also met a month ago, the spiritual leader of Iran and received his instruction to make every effort to fight the "rebels" in Syria. It is noted that the disposal of Nasrallah in Syria are at least 7,000 fighters.
Until recently, Americans were inclined to establish an unmanned area and conduct of military intervention in Syria, Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan during his recent visit to Washington, contrary to expectations, chose mainly to talk about the need to a peace conference.
Experts believe that the U.S. and Israel in the preceding step made a strategic miscalculation in assessing the balance of power. They believed that Assad's days are numbered, and need only a little effort to overthrow him. However, as a result of their alliance hated Tehran - Damascus - "Hezbollah" only strengthened, including with technical support from Russia, and is now winning over one position after another. Moreover, following the Israeli air attacks Assad's potential not only weak, but there was a prospect of the transfer of military activity in the occupied Golan Heights.
Rising in the West and in Israel pessimism about the prospects for a possible military victory of the Syrian opposition, analysts also explain the consistent and resolute stand of Russia "does not want to repeat the Libyan scenario." Moscow to Damascus with the delivery of advanced anti-medium-range missiles, as well as the presence of "more than a dozen warships' patrolling the Syrian coast, effectively" blocked sea supply route insurgents "and made extremely difficult foreign military intervention. It is no accident chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Martin Dempsey named U.S. supply of Russian missiles to Syria "untimely" and "very bad" solution, as it would "give courage of President Bashar al-Assad." But according to some sources, Russia might abandon the sale of its air defense systems S-300. This decision followed a meeting of the Russian Security Council Secretary to the President of the United States on May 22 2013goda. Is the price for Russian "surrender Gaddafi" is more preferable than the establishment of the rule of international law and justice.

Salute from Beirut to beautiful Armenia! Very nice analysis. May I add: so far the US had effectively 3 armies in the region, the marines which were kicked up in IRak, the Israelis which were beaten in Lebanon 2000 and 2006, and finally their secret army , the wahabbis/ alqaeda . They won in Yugoslavia , Libya, Afghanistan...
Well, soon enough sayyid Hassan and Assad the lion, will kick their ass in syria, like Putin did in Chechnya !
So what intervention are they talking about! It is already behind us! Huh, the Iranians are not needed even! Neither the Chinese ... What is even more hilarious are the French and English! Why they hesitate , let them intervene and we will send them some boy scouts to handle them...lol
