This neighborhood is full of trouble causing kids, fights broke loose at the basketball courts and they had to be removed.

Gang related and cliques around the area.

I do not recommend buying here.

My husband just called me to tell me about this beautiful subdivision. He said he went to do work for a police officer that lives there. The officer told him it was a horrible subdivision and he wished he would have known how bad before moving in. He said the cops are in there ALL of the time because of the crime.....
I think I would pass on this one.

Bridgewater is beautiful, and we love to go trick-or-treating there. I have heard, however, that there have been several robberies and fights there. It is very close to the schools, so it's a shame that it doesn't have a good reputation.

I too live in Bridge water and have had nothing but trouble. I have had had 2 sets of padio furniture stolen my house keeps getting egged and much more. The one thing that really makes me mad is i put in for a permit to put a fence and a patio 7 months ago and i have had no answer after repeated phone calls. I Would tell every one DO NOT BUY IN BRIDGE WATER.

Do not buy in bridgewater, nothing but trouble. That's what happens when you let the investors rent out the homes to any and everyone.

I live in Bridgewater, have been renting there for a few years. Yes, there a lot of vacant houses and the occasional punk kids causing trouble. Personally, I haven't had many problems there, mostly jackasses speeding. The is no gang activity. It's convenient for the schools. I'm sure you could buy something there CHEAP right now, but not sure if the neighborhood will ever get to where it should be.

I am a renter in Bridgewater and thought of buying in here. We have been here for almost 2 years. But if you read up on the HOA in here you would run and run fast!! They hold everybody to the covenants, which they should do,but dont hold themselves to it. They dont hold meeting, no votes. They have taken over and it seems no one can do anything about it. They have towed cars of renters without notice. So if your thinking about moving in here think twice and look up Mark Spector bridgewater. You may also have heard on the news that they wanted to change 14000 to a person wanting to buy in here, for things they WERE going to do to the house NOT WHAT WAS DONE.

In response to your question I just purchased a home in Bridge Water and let me tell you to be quite honest , Be prepared to wait and wait for your closing date because while the HOA in their minds think that they are trying to get good honest people to move in the Dev. they are making it HARD for them charging the banks for painting new homes and painting them REAL UGLY COLORS , I HAVE NO CLUE WHERE THEY GOT THE COLORS FROM BUT IT REALLY SUCKS , I PUT AN OFFER IN ON A BEAUTIFUL HOME AND WHEN I WENT TO LOOK AT IT I THOUGHT THEY MOVED THE HOUSE BECAUSE THE COLORS WERE OFF THE DANG CHARTS. AND BTW I AM STILL WAITING TO CLOSE LOL AND THE STORAGE FEES ARE ADDING UP. I AM ALMOST TO MY LIMIT.

I live in Bridgewater and I love it. We moved in 6 months ago because we needed something bigger for the kids. I found a 6 bedroom/3 bath for $150,000 it needed a lot of TLC because of the renters that lived in there before trashed it. Personally I like the HOA and I think they have done a lot work for the community. All they want to do is improve the community and make it a better place for people to live. The commenter above said that the HOA is making it hard for new buyers and I didn't have one issue when closing. Maybe the HOA is being blamed for a short sale which all of them have been slow.

I've lived in Bridgewater for years. Spector is the savior of the community. Years ago, it was as bad as what was described. Since the community went to self-managment, things have been getting done. The community is cleaner, the criminals are being moved out and those deadbeats who haven't paid anything in years are being held accountable. Kudos for Spector and the board. They are on the right track and have brought in 60 new owners to the community this year. They have collected a ton of money owed to the owners. The community is the best in the area and is attracting the right people for a change. If you want to live in a deed restricted community, you should consider Bridgewater. If you don't you shouldn't buy here.

I had no problem buying in Bridgewater. It is just that the Bridgewater Community Association doesn't even follow its own covenants or rules. Residents are supposed to be notified when they are in violation and given a chance to correct the violation. I was given no warning and not even notice of charges for them to correct it until months and months of late fees had accumulated. I am a decent person and someone like I would figure they would want in the community. Because of the BCA/HOA, I am going to put my house on the market next week. Good luck finding someone decent to move in, though.

I have viewed properties in this community, seems like there is a lot of short sales/foreclosures so you can get a great buy. I think it's wonderful for the entire community to have someone like this Spector guy to run the HOA. I see and read all the complaints so you really need someone who is going to play hard ass to get this community up to speed. I know the community pays off duty cops to patrol the community and I know they're coming down hard on deadbeats. This community offers little in regard to recreational areas but so what? And the traffic should improve greatly when 56 is finished, this place seems to need homeowners who care and it seems to be moving in the right direction.

We been here 5 years now we bought the house brand spanking new and we have had no problems at all. No "gangs", no stealing, nothing at all only piece an quite. Seems lke the problems are on the other side of the coomunity near the schools. I recommend Bridgewater its a nice place to live !

I purchased a house back in Nov. 2010. On the HOA note... The HOA is strict and that is what I liked about this community. If your mailbox is broken...FIX IT!(as an example) It keeps order to those who want to be sloppy and lazy and let their yard go to crap. I have nothing against those who like slop and multiple cars that don't run...but DON'T BUY or RENT in this community...Go live in a TRAILER PARK where you belong. Or if you like drugs... don't come around here! You will be bullied out of the community!! From what I have heard, the community was going down a real bad path until the HOA became self managed by people that LIVE HERE and actually CARE about the community. SO far I have noticed a big change in the appearance of the community... it looks nicer everyday! I see more GOOD people moving in, and actually making their house look nice by painting or landscaping. Not to mention that they are nice and good to have as neighbors!! Not to say that all renters are not nice or care about the house that they live in.... but 90% don't care because its not theirs and that in itself is a sad trait to hold. Overall I think that Bridgewater is a decent community that is working its way up to be a GREAT community.

Well, I have just been served with a letter from the BCA/HOA that they believe that I am renting my house there and that I have to 'cure this violation' within 7 days. I have never rented my property!!! That's how they are. They don't even knock on the door, they just send notices to try and get money. They are just plain mean. How do you prove that you aren't renting it? DO I have to fly down and show them? Unbelievable. Do not buy here unless you want to buy my house!
