Woman guilty of 22 counts of animal cruelty

Jeanne Knapp A Susquehanna County woman was found guilty Thursday afternoon of 22 counts of animal cruelty and can no longer own more than three dogs at a time for the next five years.

Barb Hofmeister complained repeatedly to PSPCA as she tried to get AKC registration papers for her dog.She is a spiteful, vindictive nasty old woman.Don't you think it odd that most charges were dismissed and NOT GUILTY!!!!

Iluvmydog - Slander much? I think it's odd that you are defending a person found guilty on 22 counts of animal cruelty and that was ordered to not own more than 3 animals for the next 5 years, regardless of how many charges were dropped she was still found guilty.

I find it odd that you are slandering innocent people all over the internet to defend a person found guilty on 22 counts of animal cruelty. Just for your information...it is very, very easy to track a person through the IP address so you might want to be a little more careful about the accusations you are throwing out when people have vet records to support the choices they made. There were 22 dogs & 4 birds involved. Jean Knapp was found GUILTY of 1 count of cruelty on each dog involved. If I didn't purchase my dog the day I did she would have died also. Many, many animals have died at the hands of Jeanne Knapp.

This woman was recently found guilty and the Judge Kenneth Seaman has ordered the return of all the dogs to her daughter. I have two of them and must return them by court order today. I am livid. The judge needs to be strung up by bad publicity and removed from office. Can anyone help?

Well all of these pets were ordered to be returned to me way back in August 2010 it is now march2011 the pspca was found in contempt of court and the PSPCA will be sued due to three of the PETS being killed while in their custody... No one can help you Char to bad so sad

poor little Annie, a tiny yorkie, that weighed 10lbs that the PSPCA claimed was emaciated, DID NOT RECEIVE TREATMENT in the care of the PSPCA, DIED for lack of medical care.

I am over-joyed that ALL animals in the hands of the PSPCA that BELONG TO MY FAMILY will be returned.

DID YOU KNOW, some dogs were left at the Montrose SPCA in dark cages and HAD NOT SEEN THE LIGHT OF DAY FOR OVER A YEAR???Isn't that a wonderful way to RESCUE an animal.
Oh, that's right, at a recent hearing where the PSPCA was found GUILTY of WILLFUL CONTEMPT, the Assistant DA Susquehanna Count stated, Well, THEY ARE JUST ANIMALS!!!!!!!!
And Yes, A LAWSUIT on the PSPCA is imminent.THEY ARE NOT WHAT THE TV SHOW depicts them as. Ain't it also ODD, Not one rescued dog had so much as a flea, worms, nothing.ALL OVERWEIGHT

I am a dog lover and think this entire scenario is sad. Nobody should treat these innocent animals this way, no matter who they are. Animals should be free and people need to get past their prejudices and self-esteem issues on their own instead of taking it out on the animals. Anyone who thinks this type of activity is okay is wrong and slandering the hands that help is not the correct approach either. Organizations like the ASPCA are always on the lookout for animal cruelty. Just so you can FEEL REAL PROUD OF YOURSELF, and good about what you did, Did You know that "little Annie, a 14 year old yorkie, DIED in the Philadelphia SPCA, with mammory tumors, that the PSPCA refused to treat! Yeah, she layed on a cold concrete slab for over a year, suffering, BECAUSE YOU CAME TO THE RESCUE!!!!
Several other dogs also remained in the PSPCA in philly, on cold hard concrete, over a year...THANKS AGAIN TO YOU!!!!

im all ith ya on judge seamons being wrong. he is wrong about alot of things, which i can prove, if need be. he is a dirty judge, prob related in soem way to the case. thats where u should start. that might explain wy he would give the animals back
