"Dietz isn't some kind of nut. He doesn't have posters of UFOs in his office. He doesn't believe Bigfoot is stalking the woods beyond his Jackson Township home. He doesn't believe in paranormal nonsense."
It seems that someone put too much opinion into this article.

"I'm not saying I saw aliens," he said. "But with all of the billions of galaxies and stars in the universe, it's foolish to think we're the only people out there."

I'm so glad that someone finally said this.

I read the article twice. A time is mentioned but no date or day! Would think that was an important detail. Go to Google News and search on "UFO". You'll see other UFO sightings were reported on in PA over the last couple of weeks, a date mentioned in this article would have helped co-ordinate a few things and offer possible explainations.

If the date \ day is mentioned and I missed it I apologize.

Frankly, and unfortunately, there's no way to conclusively determine what this gentleman witnessed. All he has is the standard blob-of-light-that-acts-funny footage. File it under "Unknown".
I really wish our "scientists" would stop looking thousands of light years into space when there's a very real possiblity that what they are looking so hard for for is close enough to tap them right on the shoulder and say HI. Problem is, they're afraid to turn around and see who it is.

This sounds like a credible sighting. Can you please have Mr. Dietz contact Ruben Uriarte, head of the California branch of MUFON, at:
ruben uriarte [[email protected]]
I'm sure Ruben can expedite the investigation into Mr. Dietz's sighting.
Thank you.

Not a shred of evidence exists.... I know, I know, somebody's gonna say there is, however, truth is, no alien, no aircraft, no slime, no nothin' is around to prove an existence of aliens.

Now, peeps won't believe in God, but WILL believe in aliens, go figure....

Hey, I've seen a hundred documentaries, all sort and manner of eye witness', pictures, movies, you name it, but I ain't seen one tangible shred of evidence, nothing, nada, no how, negatory!!!

Where's the alien??? I mean, if these creatures exist, and knowing the gazillions that have seen 'em, been abducted by 'em, you name it, then how come there ain't one single bit of evidence around???? must be sneaky little bzztards.

If I saw something like that, I would have called anyone I knew and told them to check it out, then it would have been more than just me and my household seeing it and maybe more than just Jackson Township residents. They would have to look into (a little harder) if people from Hanover, Jackson Township, Abbottstown, Thomasville, Gettysburg ect. would have also seen the exact same thing.
Heck it showed in the sky for over 2 hours (he said he saw it around 10:30-11pm and stayed in the yard till 1am watching the lights) yup definitly would have called lots of people.

Yeah, I looked, too, and didn't see a date. I agree with what you're saying.

I believe in God; I also believe that we don't know everything about the world, the universe, or His plan.

A UFO is just that: Unidentified Flying Object.

Back in the early 1990s I drove my sister from my home in New Oxford to hers in Hampton, on Route 94. Half-way there from Cross Keys we saw odd lights in the sky, so pulled over to the side of the road and got out of the car to watch.

There was one very large stationary light and many much smaller lights in a circle around it. The smaller lights were moving, and finally "merged" with the larger light and then it left. No idea how long we stood watching it, but it was around the same time of night, 11pm. This would have been in the sky towards Dover.

When I drove back home after dropping my sister off, I was scared to death driving that road by myself. LOL!

People, get real! People react to situations differently. That is why an accident could result with five observations. He didn't call neighbors, friends, etc. because he might be an introverted person... I don't know and I don't care.
My husband viewed a sighting one morning at his employment. Not something he had ever viewed in the heavens. It moved with such speed, he didn't have time to enter the bldg. and summon other witnesses.
I never discount the government's role in producing "things" we aren't familiar with. Why do you think the word "classified" exists? My uncle was employed to assist manufacturing the quarantine unit for returning-from-space astronauts before the space program was initiated. My aunt knew he was employed out-of-state and not another thing; utter secrecy.
People saw lights in the sky when the Stealth Bomber was being tested. The glow from flaming exhaust.
Continue to look up. It might be a relief from the earthly chaos and hassle provoked upon this society.

To Gettysburg:
There is in fact a substantial body of evidence that some of what's being observed are indeed real tangible kick-the-tires machines flying at will in our airspace and that of other nations as well, but the questions that remain are Where do they come from, Where do they go, What are they doing and Who do they belong to? For these questions, there is only speculation. Publicly anyway.
Also, those who are seeking the truth in this issue really need to carefully define their terms so that they can understand and be understood... Proof and evidence are two separate things. Do you want proof that the evidence is real? And how will you verify the integrity of that proof you seek? I'm reminded of the story of the (non- U.S.) scientist who had been given a piece of metal from one of these machines (the paper trail can be followed if you are up to it). He used a small piece to examine its makeup (destroying the piece as a necessary part of examination process) and found the results so odd that he re-did the experiment with another chunk of the substance and got the same results which he again refused to believe... So he tried again. And again. Until finally there was no more left. So now he's got all this odd experimental evidence on paper supporting the unnatural nature of this piece of hold-in-your-hand proof of exointelligence. Only thing is, the material now no longer exists. No proof, and now, tragically, the paper results can be easily dismissed because there’s no hard proof to go with those results. All because he could not accept the evidence.

Was it sunday night? I was fishing and saw a bright flash and thought it was heat lighting but when I looked up it look like red ashes like something exploded like a meteor or something coming down. I can't find anyone else who saw it but the other guy fishing down from me.

Where were you at? I saw a bright blue light fly across the sky then spark off into darkness, the sparks may have had red ash from them.
