Another story makes the paper- but TOO late for me or others who may have been interested in visiting some horse farms. Same thing every year when Wellsville has their rodeo and the next day- there are the photos and the story detailing what happened the day before.

I always feel disappointed that I didn't know of the event until after it occurred.

Guess I need to search for the fine print somewhere, but it's a lot easier to see large photos and read large print.

Props on rescue work, but unfortunately only buying the nice looking/easy to rehab horses from the KB doesn't quite cut it. Every horse deserves a second chance...not just the one that will make Kelly a profit.

Ok Horse Guy Listen up, I work at the rescue. I am Ashley Hall I train the horses that we get in. Let me tell you something, these horses arent easy to rehab, they underweight and injured when they come to us. They arent always nice looking. These are after pictures of these horses, if u had seen them when they came in you wouldn't be an saying that. We try to save every horse we can, but we also are realistic about which ones we can save. why dont you come and look at our horses and look through the before pictures that we have and maybe that will change your mind.

I was there at New Holland on a Tuesday night when Kelly was getting horses out of Bruce Rotz's pen. She told Amanda Sorvino she couldn't take the one horse because she(Kelly) was taking it because it was a nice looking horse and she could easily place it and make a good profit. She also caused a problem between a rescue and a kill buyer just so she could get horses from him and make herself look good. Just like she outsed Bruce Rotz and other kill buyers on the hidden camera stuff that they used on TV. But then left Amanda Sorvino and the others involved to hang in the wind and take the blame. Kelly is about herself, not the horses. She proved that when she turned her back on people she used to be friends with and "rescued with" And she also made every effort possible to keep a rescue from saving horses from slaughter just because she has a vendetta against the person and destroyed the chance for the horses to be saved from shipping to Canada. Just ask her about the day that Bruce went off on Amanda at New Holland and just a little while later....in comes Kelly standing there laughing and joking with him. So sad that certain people can't handle that others attempt to save lives too....and not just for the money.

I wish I could have read this story but I was too late. I am so disappointed in her because I thought she was a really good egg, someone who loved the horses. Not someone who is vengefull and spiteful and uses the horses for personal gain. She's always told me how she's protecting her reputation and doesn't want to be involved with other rescues or efforts to protect horses because of that person's reputation. Well I got news for her, it would give her reputation a lift to have stood up and with the other person and what else I wanted her to sign on with. So I'm now very glad she took such a stand. I know her stand with the kill buyers is solid and I choose not to stand with her or anywhere near her ever again. I believe our relationship was profitable for her though her gratitude was never shown in the most basic ways. My friends and I made a big effort to help her and her rescue horses. You would think we would have been appreciated.

I guess I shouldn't be shocked when I read all the negative stuff. I've been told 2 other times that this is not someone I should associate with and I refused to believe it. Now sadly, I believe it. Hers is a reputation she can keep.

Alot of horse rescues are for profit operations. That one outfit that brought in the premarin foals cleared $600 per foal and the director salaray was over 6 figures. All motivated by money not the animals, they are just the heartstring to pull funds from the wallets of the sympathetic.
