Us West Yorkers came out in force to represent a cross section of the residents. We know our needs better that other agencies, and newspapers do. Sorry that a lot of time was wasted by the council members who chose to go behind the public's back in the first place, and looked for outside services. I do feel bad for those folks who took a lot of time to prepare those proposals, but after all that's business. As far as saving money, we're all for it, but NOT if it compromises services, which we think it will. I think the current police department would have been the first people I would consult with for advise on safety issues, since they are already working the area and doing an exceptional job at it!
