What happened to Fallin's BBQ??? Did they close?? There is a For Sale Sign out front on the post where there sign is by the road.

Also noticed the Coffee Shop and Cafe in the Movie Gallery retail center is CLOSED down.

And the new restaurant Flamers near Belk is also CLOSED down. It just opened a few weeks ago! What happened??

The lousy economy probably had a lot to do with it.

Fallins closed due to poor money management by the owners, they lived for the moment and when times got tough they couldn't keep the doors open.

Coffee shop and Cafe can't make it in Thomasville unless it was downtown.

Flamers was due to poor food competing with BK, Sonic, McD's, ect.

At Fallins, I heard the owner was ill, but that's what I "heard", so it may not be factual.

You have no idea about Fallins closing so keep your comments to yourself. So tell us what business do you own? That makes you a expert!

Actually I do know more than you think. Might be embarrassing but it is the truth.

Sonny's and GrandDaddy's squeezed Fallins out in the tough times. Health problems were also a factor, but not the whole problem.

Fallins was a wonderful place and I was sad to see it close. I loved there Brunswick Stew. I wouldn't think that it would be due to money problems. From what I knew about the owners they were older and ready to retire. None of the family members wanted to take over, so they closed. Billy Bob shouldn't say stuff like that even if it were true. But you know how it is--some people just like to stir the pot!

Their brunswick stew was absolutely the best ever. I miss eating there. Mr. Fallin is a good friend of my father's and is VERY ill. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

80% of small businesses don't make it two years in a good economy and in this economy i'd be surprised if any of them make it. and when taxes go through the roof in 2011, many more will close!

I worked at Fallen's for 2 1/2 years when I was in high school this was in the late 80's.Fallins had been in business for years then and stayed in business several years after.I know Joe was sick and that his kids never wanted to run the business. After there long time cook Passed away it wasnt the same so im sure other business made it hard for them and it was just the right thing to do at the time.
