No one knows what really happened except the two involved and I don't believe his whole story. I bet the murder charge will be reduced to manslaughter and he pleads to some diminished capacity baloney. I too hope he gets to spend many years behind bars. What a horrid person he is.

the fact of the matter is; not what a horrid person he is but, what a horrid thing he has done. we should refrain from judging until we know all of the character and facts involved. which we never will. i pray Gods love and peace will be with both families involved in this sad story.

what this man did is unforgivable. I can't imagine the pain she could have gone through, though i hope there was none. However, haveing to hear people decribe her to you and are told the details of this crime, barely able to articulate their words, is something ill never forget. As for the murderer Steven Pomeroy he gets free rent for the rest of his wasted and hopefully painfull life. I feel punishment should be completely new and undescribeble with words, the only nessesity is that he wish were sentenced to death. if he shouldn't sacumb to such a fate then his life from this moment, to his last, he lives in shame and agony. please post updates on his sentence.

Hmmmmm --- I don't think it's unreasonable to judge someone who couldn't keep control of his temper and murders her in the process and THEN puts her in the trunk of the car....excuse me but...that makes him a monster whether they convict that way or not. Judge Not my @$$! Those are the facts!

Prison in Maine is actually not bad. Free cable, the food is good. It isn't all full of blacks. If you are going to commit a crime for which prison time is likely, come do it in Maine!

He's not a scum bag. What he did was scummy and awful. I've never seen him act with such animosity. I always saw the caring side.

It's the criminal justice system that you should be appealing to. But I wouldn't get my hopes up there either.

How in hell can you feel that way over that scum bag. I'm not going to watch what I am saying. Hang him high and fill his body with shotgun blasts until the rope breaks

You should be ashamed of your ignorant comments and watch how you treat and talk about others. Especially people you do not know anything about. The actions of this man were outrageous in every sense of the word, however, the only one that will be judging him is God. He is the only one that understands this situation. Your opinion does not matter to this case or will have no impact on the punishment of Steven. Should you want to spread your ignorance, do it somewhere that there are not 2 families suffering. Spread your words on topics that may involve your own situations, like gas prices or the economy. Noone wants opinions from a heartless person like yourself.

Sorry, but I and millions of others have no use for those kind of actions. Sorry, don't tell me about God. He's not going to help him one bit. For the ones that believe he will help them to feel better. And how do you know that I don't know about those people. I have been all over Maine and may know more of the people than you. Sorry to upset you, but my opinion of those jerks do not change because of God

God does help.... everyone. He forgives for sins and helps people heal. I don't care if you don't want me telling you about God; if I have to listen to you throw your stones, I guess you can listen to me talk about God. The point here is NOT how many people you know in Maine or if I know more or you know more, the point is that YES what Steve did is the most horrible thing ever and I am not saying he should not be punished, however, to hang a person and do as you stated previously, only repeats the crime. Just one question for you: Do you know Steve? Because if you did, you may feel the same way I do.

Don't know him, nor do I care to. It does not make an excuse for him at all. What he done was against God's word. I will not forgive him any more than the others that should be locked up and the keys thrown away. Like the sex offenders, as an example. If he had raped your daughter would you stick up for him? Allow him to be free? May the good lord have mercy on his soul, but not to forget and save his butt. This is my thoughts on it. You can have yours, but you are in the minority.

I am not trying to make excuses for him at all and if you look back, you will see that even though he is my FAMILY, I agree he should be punished. And I never said he should be free. I simply said that your harsh words should be kept to yourself. God will never forget what he did nor will HE. He pays for what he did everyday of his life and always will, and should. I pray for the victim and her family everyday as well as for my own. I will say that his actions that night were COMPLETELY out of character. A person who has never been in trouble for any sort of violent act. Someone who would normally not hurt a fly. Easygoing, loved everyone, tons of friends, big heart, would do anything for anyone.... things don't make sense. And just so you know, I dont give a hoot who agrees with me or not.

No one has to agree with you. We can or cannot. I have my thoughts and you don't have to agree. If he is your family it is too bad some of Gods words did not sink in a little more. He is still going to pay as you said. God can forgive, but the lesson shall be learned in jail. I know what you are going through. Been that road, but not so serious charges. Jail time yes, for the law breaker

I think the laws should be changed back like they were in the old days...take someones life, lose your life...an eye for an eye...don't even get me started on god forgiving this guy...if there is a hell he'll definately be burning for eternity!
