Out of touch with his constituents. Unattached.

I have, in the past, been a strong supporter of Rep. Lynn Westmorland. The deal breaker for me was his yes vote for the NDAA authorization with language giving the POTUS the authority to detain ANY US citizen on suspicion of a terrorist act against the United States. The detention can be of indefinite duration and all rights guaranteed under a writ of habeus corpus are suspended. This is also the final nail in the coffin of the Posse Cometatus act prohibiting the use of US Military forces in any police action within the CONUS territory. I do not trust unrestrained power given to any public official without a check and balance.
If Rep. Westmoreland did not recognize the innate danger in granting this authority to a sitting POTUS, can his judgement be trusted with other matters of individual freedoms voted by the US House?
