At least CT got one major issue right. The common sense exhibited through the passage of these credits astounded me.
Miracles happen everyday.

I have been in communities around the country in which films were being made. In almost every case, the producers did not spend money locally. Instead, they hired caterers from other places to serve food, they hired their own technicians, extras, etc. Generally filmmakers are very particular and won't take a chance on "locals."
Bottom line, production companies spend as little as they can locally, as a rule, and this means there is no "offset" for the tax breaks and other concessions they get from the state.
It's a rip off.
