But what about the 4000 babies killed each day? We need to get our priorities straight.

We need to have a full scale investigation. Heads will have to roll when they find out who the culprit is. This is just incomprehensible.

Does one really have anything to do with the other??? It seems there is always someone that just doesn't get it, equating saving babies with dogs???

Why is it in a small good will article about puppies, someone always has to say something about some political, legal or moral issue that has nothing to do with the story itself???

this is crazy!!!! About 5 years I went to Thief River to visit my daughter and her family. They had just moved there as my son in law got a job at Arctic Cat. Anyway, they live out in the country and wanted to buy a dog so we all went to the Humane Society in town, the same one as in this story. It is run by a wonderful fmaily who have various kennels behind their house, very nice and caring people. Anyway, we were lookign at the dogs they had available and there was this one puppy, about 8 weeks old, sitting all by himself. The lady told me they found him and his siblings tied inside a garbage bag and thrown into a dumpster to die. Luckily a passerby heard the puppies crying and called this lady ( they were friends) and the lady told her to bring the puppies in and that she would try and adopt them all out. This little puppy was the runt and the last one of 8 left so I bought him for my daughter and family, he is my Grand Dog. He is now, well 5 years old and is such a ownderful dog. He is German Shepard-Husky mix so he is a huge and very intimiadating dog but none gentler( if that is a word)He is the size of a small horse to be honest. My daughter has 4 kids, all under 7 and the dog is so wonderful and friendly...his name is Brody.
I know ventured a little off topic here but reading this story just upsets me to no end that folks in that part of the state have such little regard for living things. I am not being racist but I think, knowing the history and issues in that part of the state, that the dogs were probably born on the reservation, at least that is where Brody's family were found, in a garbage bag , in a dummpster on the Red Lake Indian Reservation. Hey, it is what it is, just seems to be a pattern wouldn't you say?...oh well, all I know is God will punish folks that treat living things that way and I also know that my daughter's family could not be happier with my grand dog Brody. Thanks for letting me tell my story, again a little off topic but I think it was a story that needed to be told considering the nature of this story as well....Peace Out......

Actually it's 4400 per day in our country alone. If you figure a ten hour "work day" for the "doctors", that's 1 KILLED EVERY 7 SECONDS!

You're wrong. The latest stats prove it.

But go ahead and exaggerate and lie to try to bolster your case. If it were 4400, you wouldn't have said "about 4000," you'd have said "almost 5,000."

Petty. Ok lets pretend it's 3000. Do you feel better? That's the equivalent of 9/11 every day! Helpless screaming babies killed. And we talk about Hitler? We've killed 7 times as many as he did. Oh wait I guess it's 6.7483675 times as many.
