Willie its pretty sad that you slander people on here that you don't know the truth about. Sounds like you don't know John as many people in this town do.Apparently you never graduated high school either willie because it is spelled UNDERWEAR! Too bad you don't put your money where your mouth is Willie. Its just too funny people who attack other people trying to do good either on her or for our town are always Attacked by an insignificant anonymous person. John, I am sorry you have to deal with unintelligent idiots like this Willie person. I will vote for you and start a grass roots movement to help you get elected.

John if you're serious about running for council, and you're smart- you'll stop posting on topix. All this site does is provide gossip and rumors mostly by people who have no flying idea what they're talking about, and certainly no worries about the truth of the trash they're spouting. People on here will set you up and trash you and your intentions without blinking an eye because they can, and it's anonymous. Everytime you respond to their junk it's like pouring gas on the fire. You won't see anyone in the political arena who has half a brain and/or a desire to be reelected ever on here. Good luck! Maybe we'll see you in November!

I believe NYS Dept. of Audit & Control is scheduled to check the Town's books. I think it may have been last week, but if not, it is this week. This is a regular audit I believe, and it may take a while, but it will be interesting to learn of the results.

What is the deal on part time town employees getting so many benefits on the taxpayers buck .Also who paid for the attorneys that were needed by the town board and town supervisor as they messed around with the bridges fiasco last month?

I have been checking on that "what" and making some headway. Will post when there is legal status to stand on re: other townships and how they handle this.
It is amazing what you can find to compare when you REALLY CARE

It should be noted that Obama care is forcing companys to cut peoples hours to part time so they don't have to pay . no matter what other towns do , we should NOT be paying for part timers entitlements , work full time or go without ....the town has 14 part time people collecting entitlements of which 6 are elected , the rest appointed ...

If they have 14 part time, seems they should cut it in half and make the remaining jobs full time with benefits.

The last two posts are interesting, not for the content, but for the way you toy with the English Language. It goes downhill from post 19. So you are capable of using better grammer.............

Fred, sorry but that post was not meant for you,
something got messed up. I just read your prior post re: 14 p/t people collecting entitlements.
What constitutes part time? I would like to know and/or see the job descriptions that define what is considered part time and what is considered full time for employees. Also what benefits they are earning.
I would like to see the prior work history that may qualify them for the positions/benefits they may have. I AM NOT JUMPING ON ANYBODY ABOUT THIS, but if the Job Descriptions define hours duties and benefits and one feels that is out of line, then it should be adjusted. I feel that no one but the board members may know that.
Compare these positions to someone working in, lets say Utica, and the savings to the local employee for travel, wear and tear and time spent traveling to work elsewhere.
Because these persons are local and appointive, it should be reviewed and adjustments made where needed. YOU AND I AND EVERY ONE WHO PAYS TAXES IS ENTITLED TO KNOW, they become PUBLIC employees when the public picks up the tab.
Again, other than personal private info., when the taxpayers pay the salaries, they have a right to know what that tab covers.

what I always understood was 40 hours a week is full time , and that is also what is being talked about by the business owners that are cutting hours so their workers are considered part time , and as was posted on here before if 14 people cost $246,000 a year for health ins. thats over $17,000 each per year , or $ 337.00 a week , and thats just health insurance , not counting state retirement or what they are paid ...
