Scooter's statue

I went by the ball park the other day on my way to Boonville and I noticed that the tribute to Rick is missing. I hope that it is just being stored somewhere to keep it out of the weather, and not removed by some red-necked Wanna be.

The Scooter carving is stored at the bar for the winter. We brought it down to Scooter's during our Forestport University's (FU) Homecoming on 11/17. It will be brought back to the field at our Spring Break Party if there is no snow on the ground. We originally planned on storing it in the shed and then decided to do this. Thanks for checking....

Beep, I am pleased that "Scoot" is in where it is warm and safe. He is loved there, and I am sure he is comfy now.

Glad he is home for the winter ! Been out of this area for way to long but heard about Scoot's passing and it really hit my heart. I knew him way back in his STP days and never met anyone else in my life that could always have a smile like that man although I do blame him for some very, very BAD next mornings ! Did get a chance to stop in a couple weeks ago and the place looks GREAT ! I wish you the best and you are doing a awsome job keeping his dream alive !!! May I ask you one question ? I know Scoot was famous for giving everyone nicknames but how did you get Beep ? If you don't want to answer don't worry I understand . Keep doinv such a great job and I promise I will get back in there again. Very sorry for yours and everyones lose Beep !

I usually say that you will have to read the book to find out why I am called Beep. But since you asked so nicely and it is refreshing to see nice comments on here - here it is....Scoot gave me that nickname as he usually "summoned" me to come visit him via my pager which rang out "Beep Beep" on my "beeper". And who could resist that call even if it was at 3 AM? After driving 90,000 miles from Utica to and from Remsen and then Forestport, I just moved in (and out) with him until we finally got it right. that took a lot of effort and the rest of this story you might someday read in a best seller like 101 Shades of Red....LOL

I should of known some pos slowlife would jump on hear with some sh¡t to say. I posted under Cool Beep before and after I think maybe I should not do that and I will change it next time and leave the Beep out. I found out yesterday that my dad is begiening the whole thing you and Scoot went through but lung cancer with not much to hope for. I worry and I am afraid for him but really I hope I can find a. way to be as strong as you ! Thank you for showing people life does go on ! Ok, on a brighter note why didn't you get the nickname Beeper !! LOL!! That really was such a cool story and thank you for sharing it !! Can I ask one favor ? Make it a movie instead of a book because I hate reading alot ! Thank you BEEP BEEP !!!!

Am I hallucinating or are there a few incompetent employees operating the snow plows at the FoPo town barn? They plow one side of a certain road when it needs it and leave the other side as it is. Then they come back and plow the same d*mn bare road 3 more times within the next 12 hours and leave the other side covered in snow. Mailboxes are there for a reason and won't get their mail delivered if the PO has to risk getting stuck by pulling in to it. Apparently thats tax payers money going to waste again, just like the rest of the D*mn country.

It's up to the elected Highway Supt. to patrol once in a while and see what is happening himself. If he does not do that, and if he allows certain people to take town vehicles home, etc. then he should be reprimanded or removed from his position. You nor I could get away with that kind of waste of our money because we would not allow it and we would take our obligation seriously and that is to do the best job, with the best employees, for the most reasonable cost to the taxpayers. I think the whole dang crew from the Town Super. down needs to be checked out by OUTSIDE legal authority. Someone said that yesterday, the first big snow for our community, there were problems all over the place, that caused State plows to have problems also.
Come on guys, our OLD TIMERS would make you all look sick behind that wheel these days.

This is just another way to give our Highway Supt. a little more spending money. We had, or still may have, a good person who did a good job with that position. I believe it was a Ms. Sege. Hard to believe our Highway Supt could CATCH anything but a cold.

I know exactly where my children are. I have led A law abiding life and my children have never shamed me or been in trouble with the law., so I don't need to "slither" anywhere. On the other hand scotter did. I just can't imagine having to have to wait for the police to come to remove an anckle braclette in order to go to hospital via ambulance. I understand that was his last ride. Yes... nice person/// hmmm idk potencial yes... He was not a man to be publically honorered like a hero. HE WAS AN ALCOHOLIC AND DRUG ADDICT! They say "Birds of a feather flock together, and snakes crawl on their bellies. He had a good job in the Holland Patend School. hmmmm Hmmmwhat happened to that? Poor kids... what an example.
