I know your right, the Republicans & the Tea Party played the game wrong and come November the House & Senate will be both be under Democratic Control and Nancy Pelosi believes she will be the Speaker of the House again which makes me sick thanks to Mitch Mcconnell.

Unfortunately for this once great country that has been the top priority of the Teabaggee Retardican party... No matter the effect it has on the citizens of this once great country. They only care about making Obama look bad and be the fall guy for their failed policies. Their treason has all but assured that the future of this once great country is bleak at best..

I think alot of people feel that way that the Republicans have held the Citizens and the US Economy Hostage and they are proving to lean towards totalitarianism or wanting total control and nothing else. since 1970 they have had more control of executive branch than the Democrats which Bill Clinton was right.

Yes; privatize social security. Do it now. Be responsible for your own retirement. Save for it yourself.

The problems is the Republicans never wanted to work with Obama and have done nothing but complain (wrongfully in many cases, correct in others) to the point where their complaints have become meaningless.

And they still have no answers, only blame to spread.

So the fact that they have blocked every jobs bill is just made up? Or the fact that Faux NoNews won't tell you that means it didn't happen? Hmmm... Fair and balanced huh? Then why haven't they reported this? And is that the only place that you get your information? No wonder you like Mittler... He does the same thing..

Politics is quid pro quo, "this for that" You mean to tell me obama could not throw out a bone to republicans on anything? obama is POTUS. He is responsible for everything this country does or fails to do. Bush got tax cuts thru when dems had the Senate. How come obama can't do that??

Last three Congressional votes on obama's budget plans were: 0-99, 0-414 and 0-98

If the dems loose the Senate this fall, there will be a new "party of NO" in DC. Bet you $10,000 on that.

No no no. Don't give your money to corporation or unions. Invest it yourself.

As we all know, Bush robbed SSI blind and wasted the money on tax cuts and wars. That's a fact. What prevents that from happening again? Still trust Gov't??

Did you know that every Gov't pension fund in the US except SSI invests in the stock market? They all do derivatives, hedging and MBS too. Still trust Gov't?

Liberals = afraid of personal responsibility
Republicans = Real stupidity.

Being afraid of personal responsibility and recongnizing the inherit capabilities of individuals are not unrelated. Paid professional money managers who manage mutual funds: How many meet or exceed their benchmark just in a given year? How many do it every year?

And these people are paid to do nothing but manage money all day long.

What chance do most part-timers have?

<quoted text>That's what they tell us on the campaign trail out of one side of their mouth. Out of the other side, they will promise more social spending depending on who is listening and where. The Republicans talk about spending cuts and rarely deliver. If they cut spending in one area, they will often offset that with increased spending in other areas. The bottom line is that both parties do not have a real deficit reduction program. Do you remember former VP Cheney's famous words? "Deficits Don't matter." Few if any GOP Senators or House members raised any objections to what was said by him and they also rubber stamped Bush's budgets which were far in the red.
It has to change, it is not sustainable. SS and Medicare will drown us if it does not change soon. Both sides recognize that. The question is do you essentially kill the programs for future recipients or do you increase taxes SOME and save the programs for those that need them?
