Summer is drawing to a close and families are making the most of the last few weeks of summer vacation – attending the last BBQ and taking the final trip before school begins. As another busy time of the year comes to a close, U.S. Cellular wants to help you make your back-to-school shopping as quick and cost effective as possible, no matter where you are. With the added convenience of mobile price comparison and user reviews, families can be sure they’re getting the best deals on everything they need to start the school year.
“With mobile shopping you don’t have to worry about crowded parking lots or squeezing store hours into your busy schedule,” said Joe Cabrera, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in Washington and Oregon.“A mobile phone is supposed to make life simpler and easier to get things done and your relationship with your wireless carrier should be the same. We also offer benefits like the only points-based rewards program in the industry and new devices faster without resigning contracts.”
Customers can download a variety of apps from Google Play that take the stress out of back-to-school shopping. From buying books and school supplies to new clothes, the following apps will simplify your shopping routine and give you extra time with your family:
• SmarterShopper ($2.99 Monthly Subscription or $7.99 Unlimited): Customers can price comparison shop and get reviews on a variety of back-to-school supplies including clothing, shoes, electronics and more.
• Amazon Mobile (Free): Customers can quickly search, shop, compare prices and make purchases on Amazon.com , and also have full access to their existing cart, wish lists, payments and Amazon Prime member shipping options. From notebooks to calculators to backpacks, essential supplies are available for purchase straight from your smartphone. Other great Amazon apps include Kindle for Android and Amazon MP3. U.S. Cellular customers can check out the U.S. Cellular tab in the Amazon app store for more recommended apps and games.
• Zappos (Free): With free shipping and lots of product reviews, users can browse more than 1,000 brands and make purchases on-the-go from Zappos’ vast selection of shoes, clothing and even backpacks.
• U.S. Cellular’s Family Organizer (Free): Customers can use U.S. Cellular’s ultimate family organization tool, voted #1 app for moms by moms, to manage a busy family with a centralized calendar, shopping list hub and a journal, perfect for recording multiple shopping lists.
“Users can enjoy a smooth shopping experience with U.S. Cellular’s high-speed nationwide network, ensuring your smartphone or tablet is your one stop shop for back-to-school supplies,” Cabrera added.
U.S. Cellular offers a range of smartphone devices suited to fit any busy parent’s lifestyle, like the Samsung Galaxy S III. The promotion currently applies to the third through sixth new line. Families can also get a free Alcatel One Touch Premiere with the purchase of a smartphone, like the Samsung Galaxy S® III™.
