The suck! They did an oil change for me one time. Forgot to reset the thingy in my car and also left a nut off. As a result I leaked oil all over my driveway. I now go to that quickie lube or whatever place on Richmond N of the highway. They run a good shop, polite, quick, and do a good job.

they are an alright business. what few times i have been there they did tell me all the things that should be repaired on the car while it was there, but then what business doesnt sell up when they have the chance. you cant go into a restaurant without them suggesting additional items from the menu. thats something of standard practice. every time i have taken a vehicle there, it worked fine after i left and they resolved the issue. they fixed what needed to be fixed. so job wwell done.

the only reason it doesnt sound like a glowing review, is more because its hard to part with hundreds of dollars for vehicle repair. that would be my reaction to anything once it starts costing into the hundreds, but i understand that is the expected amount for vehicles.

Anyone should expect to shell out big bucks when having an auto repaired but when you price shop the repairs Midas is by far more expensive. For example....the shop rate there is like $100 an hour. Call around......there are several reputable shops in town for far less money.

as long as the auto is not a speciality model, i would recommend chain businesses like midas before dealerships. my thoughts are that with respects to the dealerships they are the ones who are the most expensive on labor.

not sure how midas compares to small independant mechanics. at least they should have a fixed labor rate throughout the national chain. and if they jsut outright do you wrong intentionally you could hold them more accountable to their headquarters.
