I noticed in the classifieds of the local paper that McDonald's is going to open a new store in Leary, Texas. Anyone know where in Leary the store location will be ?

Are you surprised that Leary will get a McDonald's before other small towns near Texarkana USA ? Is there starting to be growth in/near Leary ?

Somewhere out by the interstate because it's going to be next to a Love's truck stop. Also there will be a Subway at the same location.

I bet it's in the new Love's truck stop going in there at the Leary exit on the south side of the interstate.

So happy that I will not have to travel all of the way from New Boston to Texarkana before getting my McFlurry on. This is a real asset to Bowie County.

Wow,didn't know anything new was being built in Leary. Didn't even know there were enough people in that vacinity to support it. Anyone know how many jobs will result when the Mc Donald's, Subway and truck stop are built?

These stores weren't built for the people who necessarily live in Leary. They were built for the interstate traffic.

Thank You
Many of these posters are small minded and assume the business being built along the I-30 corridore are specifically for the local population. It is presumed that persons passing thru the area may wish to enjoy a burger or coffee or maybe some large trucks will fill up on diesel. I'm sure many local tax payers drive diesel vehicles but just maybe, this truck stop is designed to accommodate persons outside of their zip code.

You are welcome. It's the same with all the restaurants and hotels. They aren't built just for people here in Texarkana, especially the hotels. Without the people driving through, they would go out of business.

I agree with you completely, but would add this comment. Overnight guests and fish have one commonality: they both begin to stink very soon. I encourage my guests to stay at a local hotel for their privacy, and mine. I'm particularly happy to put them up or point them to the new Hilton Garden Inn.

Yeah, I know what you mean about overnight guests. After about 2 nights, I'm ready for them to go back to where they came from.

I don't see how anything I said could be considered "small minded". The context in which you use it doesn't make sense. Since I know nothing of Leary and the vacinity I was just making an observation about the new businesses and was curious about the population and if it was growing.
