The real reason that Nancy Pelosi is considering retiring is that they
took her Jet away.
Ah, poor baby!

As a result of a Judicial Watch filing under the Freedom of Information
Act, the USAF released documents detailing House Speaker Pelosi's use of
United States Air Force aircraft between March 2009 and June 2010.
The data are published in the Judicial Watch Verdict of December 2010,
Volume 16, Issue 12.

Here are the main highlights revealed by the USAF. Keep in mind that all
the data below relate to United States Air Force aircraft used by one woman
over a sixteen month period.

Several of these flights included Ms. Pelosi's guests, such as grown
children, grandchildren, various in-laws, friends and hangers-on. Over 95%
of the trips were between the west coast and Washington DC, for what you
might call a commute between home and the office. READ it and WEEP!!

Total trips: 85 over a 68 week period, or 1.25 average trips per week.
Total mileage: 206,264 miles, or 2,427 average miles per trip.
Total flying time: 428.6 hours, or an average of 5 hours per trip.
Cost to the taxpayers:$2,100,744, or $27,715 per trip, or $1,285,162 per year!
Cost of in flight food and alcohol:$101,429; $1,193 per trip; $62,051 per year.

On one junket to Baghdad, according to the Air Force report, she had the
aircraft bar stocked with Johnny Walker Red Scotch, Grey Goose Vodka, E&J
Brandy, Bailey's Irish Cream, Maker's Mark Whiskey, Courvoisier Cognac,
Bacardi Rum, Jim Beam Whiskey, Beefeater Gin, Dewar's Scotch, Bombay Sapphire
Gin, Jack Daniels Whiskey, Corona Beer and several varieties of wine. This
was obviously a very important "gubment bidness" trip.

Evidence generally speaks for itself, and in Ms. Pelosi's case it speaks
the language of abuse and (evidently) a serious familial drinking problem,
for in a single year she and her spawn drank an amount in excess of the net
income of the average employed American! When she said, "... If the
stimulus doesn't pass, five hundred million people might lose their jobs...", I
thought she was unintentionally revealing her ignorance. I'm now more
inclined to think she was pickled.

Even though she can no longer abuse the USAF, she can either fly
on her broom, or fly Southwest Airlines, where bags fly free.

Where was your outrage when speakers in the past abused their perks? Your post is not only partisan but sexist as well. If the speaker was a male Republican, you wouldn't be saying a word. Why don't you delve into what John Boehner is doing or what Mitch McConnell is doing? Oh wait, they're male and they're Republican. Never mind.

Well, you have the opportunity to post information on them as well....it does NOT change the information posted, and I don't know why in the world it matters if the speaker is female or not. Irresponsible spending is irresponsible regardless if you are male or female. Again.... you have the option to post information on those you mentioned. By the way the information is found from many news outlets.

The information is on several news outlets.

Why in the world would anyone defend such behavior regardless if you are male/female or conservative/liberal? That's just wierd!

I never said the information was wrong. I said if you are going to rebuke one party for what they do and not another party when they are doing the same thing or worse, it makes you look hypocritical.

You misspelled her name. If you're going to write a thesis about someone, at least get their name right.

I heard that initially she was assigned a plane that had to stop to be refueled because it didn't have the fuel capacity to make the coast to coast flight non-stop. She griped about it and yanked some strings to get a more costly plane to ride in that could make it in one hop.

I'm sure every Speaker has their quirks. Hers just make the news more often no matter what news outlet you choose because they are so outlandish and self-serving.

Past speakers ? Last Repub I believe was Denny Hastert. Here's a link to his travel over a three year span compared with Pelosi's over a two year span;

As far as Boehner goes, he flies commercial:

Could not find anything on McConnell.

And by the way, I am neither Dem or Repub, but an equal opportunity critic.
It just seems that Dems make it so much easier.

Couldn't agree more. She has become a danger to herself and others. The same can be said for any number of those "lifers" regardless of party.

GOP House has become a danger to itself. Baener nixes a humanitarian bill to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy, and then i'll be dayum if they dont vote the unpopular goof back in as head of the majority. He even had New York and New Jersey Republicans mad at him griping at him for that cold move of not helping the victims but at a fraction of the proposed assistance. Of all the spendings you can do, humanitarian aid to storm victims should be a unifying bill that passes in a timely manner. Republicans have a shoddy record of helping people in a time of hurricane need.

John Baener doesnt care about New Jersey shore people.

Hahahahaaaaaaaaaa , hilarious, the "bags" comment. How about if congressmen (male or female) get to fly only in the Osprey aircraft, the one with the reputation for crashing? Hey, why not let Congress take Amtrak to their nearest hometown station? Just a thought.

Glad ol' Gladys, everyone is allowed one typo per paragraph. Even if he did misspell the old hag's last name, what does it matter? We grasp his idea. Your fixation worries me. The world does not need any more spelling nazis.
