The Owner of Premonition Vintage is a PSYCHO

My Mamaw wrote this and asked me to get it into the Texarkana Gazette. They ain't gonna put it in though, so I thought I'd get it somewhere out in the open. Mamaw doesn't say it in the article, cause she's trying to be sensitive, but I've met her friend, and I think the nice lady she's talking about is some kind of autistic. Kind of awkward in public, but she really is that nice in real life. Anyways, here's what she wrote, and I can tell you, my wife won't be shoppin in there any more. Also, I just went ahead and said what it's about in the title. Mamaw was too nice about it.

"Today, a young friend of mine was in awful confrontation with a local shop owner, and it's really bothering me. My friend is a lovely young woman who recently moved home from a fun and exciting life in a big city to help her family business, and to start one of her own. She's very much involved in local charities and animal rescue groups, and is a joy to be around. This young woman is very, very sweet, and one of the hardest-working 20-somethings I have met in my adult life and certainly in my golden years. I haven't known her very long, but I can say with certainty that she hasn't a rude or mean bone in her body, and more over, is very, very sensitive to rudeness that is directed at her. She recently went into a business that she hadn't before visited, hoping to find some treasures and strike up a friendship with another young woman/entrepreneur who is in a very similar business. She called me very near to tears not long after leaving the store, with a story that was too bizarre not to be told. When she had tried to strike up a conversation with the young owner, she was rebuffed. She didn't attempt any further conversation, and was puzzling over the other woman's reaction as she finished perusing the shop. Just before she could leave, the owner stopped her, and began berating her for being rude to her. My friend, absolutely shocked at the attack, could only manage an 'Excuse me?' She related the entire conversation to me, and it appears that the gist of shop-owners anger was that this girl, in a similar business, had come in to scope out her competition because she felt threatened. My friend tried to assure her that wasn't the case, and I can say from experience that this girl feels that friendships and respectful business relationships are paramount between 'colleagues' in her field. When the shop owner continued her verbal attack, my friend simply commented on the owner's own extreme rudeness, and left. I have to say, considering how angry and upset at this illogical attack she was, I admire her cool-headedness in not stooping to the owner's level in her anger. I wish this was the end of the story, but it gets even more unbelievable. The shop-owner knew of the young woman and knew of her mother, and proceeded to call the mother and manipulate her into believing that her daughter had acted so offensively. The mother's reaction was what anyone who knows this kind young woman would be: that simply doesn't sound anything like her. Even as I write this she, her mother, and I are all still trying to puzzle out why this young woman was so offended and confrontational, and we're still at a loss. I believe these young women are about the same age, and while I'm saddened at the behavior of the shop owner, I am very proud of my friend, and her refusal to stay angry over the incident, or to become vindictive. She simply said, after the initial shock and anger had faded, "I really feel sorry for her." Even though I was shocked at the behavior of the other young woman, and saddened that my friend was hurt by this, I'm very proud of her for her strength and forgiveness. Let's hope I'll have a chance to meet more wonderful young people like her in the near future! As to the shop owner, I have a 'Premonition' that with her horrible attitude, her shop won't be open much longer. L.D., Texarkana, Arkansas"

^ I knew that would be some people's reaction, but if I honestly thought Mamaws friend had done anything at all to bring it on herself, I wouldn't be putting this out there. This woman shouldn't be off the hook for treating people like that just because it sounds so unbelievable.

untered the owner of premonition vintage and i must add that she is a very nice Lady... And if i owned a shop i don't think i would really want another store owner absorbing my shop. She needs to at least get her shop where she wants it before someone intrudes so they can establish theirs. I'm not saying people shouldn't help each other out but, you should go about it a certain way. Maybe she didn't intend to come off that way and it blew out of proportion but her shop is really nice and that credit should not be taken away from her because of some MINOR INCIDENT that your trying to make into a huge altercation and most likely your friend was up to no good otherwise you wouldn't be making a big deal out of it and trying to influence other people that her shop is worthless and she's a bad person you would just leave it be... now in finished hater

I have been in the store a few times and NEVER encountered any behavior as described in the original post. The young attractive articulate women was so nice and sweet. This post is just starting trouble.
Lets be honest, who goes online to a site like Topix that is known for stirring the pot and posts this kind of trouble, other than a trouble maker. I encourage everyone to go in to the store, its odd and most of the items I wouldnt purchase but the owner is sweet. Dont take the original writers word, go there yourself. Why doesnt the writer or grandchild of the original woman go in there for herself?

I am going o kindly ask the author of this post to please remove this untruthful allegation of psychosis, put upon me. I was informed by many customers about this post & urged to read it as well as take action. I am a peaceful person and by no means am intent on harming anyone verbally etc. nor do I solicit a debate of this unfortunate topic to which I find myself the subject of. Considering, the nature of the above articles misleading representation of my character which I have been neglectfully depicted & wrongfully accused, I find it necessary to protect myself & integrity. I have contacted my legal attorney & have been counseled that this article is plausible for Liable Slander, particularly by defamation of character. I am not threatening as I fully intend to prosecute those responsible. In lieu of this post I have been publicly humiliated & deemed mentally unstable, titles & diagnosis to which have no valence. In 3 days I will take action unless this slanderous article shall be removed.

From my understanding of the post you were rude to a lady that visited your store. That is her opinion of the service she got from visiting your store. Good luck on your legal case for being rude to a customer!!!
