Has anyone purchased any large appliances from Lowes lately and had a lot of problems? I've purchased a washing machine and refrigerator and both have gone out within a year. I did get an extended warranty on the refrigerator, thankfully, because its had continuous problems.

I'm sort of ticked off after paying out more than a couple of thousand dollars. I dont think I will ever buy from them again.

I did notice the 'made in Mexico' sticker. Does that have anything to do with anything?

Yes - bought a washing machine from them, a Maytag. After hauling it home and hooking it up we turned it on and it did nothing - just sat there. Took it back and got a replacement. Within about 3 months the replacement quit working. Then it was an ordeal getting their warranty repair service out. The thing has never worked right.

Your beef is not with Lowe's but rather the manufacturer. We have bought Bosch front load washer/dryer combo, Fridgidaire counter depth side by side and a Frigidaire refrigerator for the garage "spare". The refrigerators have performed as they should. The washer/dryer set started giving us a bit of trouble after about 5-6 years and were replaced two years ago. Lowe's doesn't build the; they simply sell them. We've had good luck with appliances from them, Laffertys and Sears.

I didnt say, or dont think I implied, that Lowes built them; everyone knows they dont; its just the 'stuff' they sell comes from Mexico.

The extended warranty people also stopped using Laffertys Appliance for repairs.

If you want only appliances that are "made in America" then I suggest you try Viking, Sub-Zero/Wolf or Thermador.

Tom, you go to way too much trouble in trying to help these morons. I know you have a heart of gold and you want to assist people and steer them in the right direction but they are too dumb to appreciate you.

Are you a grossly overweight inbred redneck with no teeth and the body odor of a goat who lives in an old trailer on blocks with a sign on one end that says "wide load" which describes your wife or do you just sound like one?

When is the last time you had a bath, you old piece of shit? You smell like a sewer. Have you even heard of toilet paper? I don't see how your wife stands to be in the same room with you. Hell, a damn ape in a zoo practices better hygiene than you, you old turd. Ok, your turn.

When you use those term so ridiculously, it waters down the actual meaning and what they represent. So you are weakening the definition when you do that. Those words only suggest you want to be insulting, no one believes the words you used apply in this instance. If you must be insulting at least be more responsible in your choice of words.

I wasnt the one that started the insult. I was responding.......
September Gurl was saying, as ignorant as one can, that she was superior to those she termed 'morons'. This is reminiscent of how the Nazis treated the Jews; as inferior people. I believe if the shoe fits, she should wear it.

I wasnt aware there was a 'taboo' against using the word 'Nazi'. Who made up that rule? you and the other liberal socialist?

I say if the shoe fits.... wear it. apparently it does.
