They have been in Fouke for years. They built his compound while he was in the pen and when he got out he moved there with them. They just about run the city of Fouke.

Alamo was originally a preacher who cottoned to Hollywood celebrities. He moved out this way, don't know exactly when, probably because of the trouble he had with the IRS. For a long time, his headquarters was in Van Buren up by Fort Smith. Didn't really know that had changed, but I'll take y'all's word for it.

A possible reason for the change of venue could be the fact that Alamo was in FCI for a few years. A lot of his cult members probably moved here to be close to him. I actually wrote the guy a letter back in 1995 and offered to run errands for him if he needed; I figured he was maybe just an innocent preacher type dude who got crossways with the law over taxes, and maybe he deserved a break. Well, in my letter I also mentioned that I was baptized in Jesus' name and full of the Holy Ghost, and I asked him why, since he claimed that he and his dead wife Susan were the two olive tree prophets mentioned in Revelation, his (abundantly plentiful) flyers (which could be found very often on every car in Wal-Mart parking lot in those days) didn't tell people that if they wanted to be saved they should obey Acts 2:38. Well, he wrote me a nasty letter back, which I still have here at the house somewhere I suppose.

Anyway, Tony Alamo is a jerk. That is, if his old carcase is still alive. If he's dead, he's a dead jerk, and may God rest his soul.

I had all that on my mind when I saw this thread, so now I have unburdened myself. Y'all please excuse me for being so candid.

I lived in southern california when Tony had his big church on the side of the 101 freeway.. he really was catering to the stars then, wonder why they left him ? I was surprised to see that he as now set up his operation in Fouke.

Anybody old enough to know...oh yeah Hellcat is... if that is the same Tony Alamo that was a dancer on "Where the Action Is " ? A late 1960's Dick Clark production on in the afternoons after school ?

His wife bought the house across teh street from me, and all the neighbors got letters about their involvement with child abuse.... interestingly enough, I havent seen anyone there after they spent tons of money cleaning up that once nasty house.... In no way making light of the situation, DO YOU THINK...Arkansas State Police, or FBI Could revoke the gun liscense of said security guards on the Alamo Compound? On the bases of a liscense doesn't authorize a person to carry handguns into, meeting of a governmental body, state office building, place of worship, or where prohibited by federal law.
Any school or college or event unless for the purpose of participating in an authorized firearms-related activity.
IS this a stretch? I believe the whole compound would be considered in "Alamo's mind" a place of worship, right? And since they are all privately school, I hope, than also a School or College?

Take the Guns away and then Go In!
Is this just wishful thinking?
