I'm told they are moving downtown. It was in the paper that HealthSouth will be building a facility there much like the one they have on 7th Street out west of Jarvis Parkway.

I ate there once on the recommendation of a friend. He is still my friend but the food tasted like it had come out of a can or box. Definitely not my idea of good Italian cooking.
I really miss the Italian place that was up on Richmond Rd. Can't remember the name of it but the owner was severely injured in an auto accident several years ago and I believe permanently disabled. His food was outstanding. He did great veal dishes.

His old cook is Mario and he owns Chappo's on Richmond. If you haven't eaten there you should try it.

Thanks, but since being diagnosed with Type II Diabetes I'm afraid Italian,or Mexican for that matter, are out of the question. Pretty much stuck on low carb.

Alfredo came in and worked or consulted at Joes for a while before moving to Dallas. IMHO, he should have never left downtown across from the post office in that little rock building. I'm sure he was just chasing the dream, but moving north of the Interstate was the beginning of the end for him. And yes, his veal was awesome!

I heard that Joe's Pizza closed because Joe ran out of dough.
