It has come to my attention that an organization that Judge Carlow paid to conduct a poll has a local connection. Molly Beth Malcom is listed as a staff person with The Tyson Organization. Mrs. Malcom is also as you know on the Board of Directors of Texarkana College. I found the following on the TC website:

Texarkana College
019501
BOARD MEMBERS BBF
ETHICS (LOCAL)

11. Avoid being placed in a position of conflict of interest, and refrain
from using my Board position for personal or partisan
gain.

I only lifted that one item out of the list because the others were not relevant. This may not be either, I just thought it was interesting. I am not accusing anyone of anything, again I find it interesting that a board member of a tax payer supported school is helping with the campaign of the local county judge who sits on the Appraisal Board.

Here is another interesting item: The Bowie County Judge's salary has gone from $81,485.52 in 2007 to $95,056.32 in 2010.

This equals out to a raise of about 3.9% a year. Typical cost of living raises are between 3% and 5%. This is in the norm. Most organizations do not change these numbers to account for when the economy is good(inflations rates > 5%) and when the economy is bad(inflation rates < 3%).

Gee, that's about HALF what F. Larry Sullivan makes as Texarkana City Manager.

Dr. Lacy said he would roll the county judge's salary back to 2007 if he is elected. With Sullivan's pay and bonus how do the city employees compare?

Do the other county employees have to campaign and stand for election every few years to keep their jobs?

I do not know for sure, but probably most if not all salary employees do. That's pretty standard.

Do you believe it is proper?

Now!
No! Obama Has Lied!
The cost of living has steadily increased each day.
Sorry to say I've yet to see one elected official not get their dollar.
Yet they take from the indigent. Isn't that correct Jeff Addison?
I hope that 25 dollars that you take from my indigent child buy's you low sorry azz a stake.

I doubt it will buy you and Bobby one!
I don't trust any elected official we have.
I just want the incumbents out.
That includes judges and Law officers.

Those who lie with one eye and those who lie with two eyes.
Corruption!
Just the facts sir!

I do know some are being pressured to do campaign work, so you might say for fear of their jobs, they run for office evertime too!

Specifically, by name and position, what employees are being pressured to do campaign work?

All county employees named whatever their mama named them in whatever position they are in. Is that clear enough for you? They have been lied to and told that if their boss looses, they loose there job. They got bills to pay and mouths to feed and their feeling that pressure to do campaign work. Lucky for them there boss don't get to follow them into the voting booth.
