Driving through texarkana the other day. I was amazed at the growth. How lucky your community is to have local people put money into your city. The new retail spaces, restaurants and car dealerships looked amazing.

All new places to take our money. Oh well, that's the way it works I guess. They put a lot of money into that strip of Interstate-30 equivalent of those stupid ball sacks hanging off the backof every third Dodge Ram. Look at the rest of the town - bad streets, crap downtown. Business is operated very differently here in Texarkana.

the restaurants? yuck !! Even roaches won't eat at the food joints on the Interstate. Car dealerships? Yep, we got 'em. There's not much culture or class in Texarkana, some....not much. Take a drive downtown and see behind the facade out on I 30. Drive through Beverly and see lots of entrepeneurs starting businesses. Check out the bloated masses coming out of Golden Corral. Shop at the Mall where you can find the latest trinkets and overpriced fad clothing. Ride Amtrak to Texarkana or to get out of Texarkana: probably the only Amtrak station sharing space with a prison. Lots of great people here, though, as long as you're a Baptist, vote Repub, and like country music.

Stop being so negative. If you don't like it here, go back to Mexico and join a drug cartel.

At least we have Amtrak service. This can't be said for places like Hot Springs, Ft. Smith, Tyler etc.

I'm not from Mexico, you dummy. I was born in the USA. I don't have anything to do with drugs, either. Geez, you are one biased hillbilly, and probably an inbred, too. And stop parking your Ford pickup in my driveway; I can't get my Corvette out.

If you drive a corvette, then you must be in a drug cartel. You certainly can't afford one pushing a lawnmower around.

i have lived in 3 places in my lifetime and Texarkana is the weirdest of all. I've never seen such "adults" act like unsupervised children. Tattling on each other, ganging up on people they don't like. That crazy town turns positive people into negative people and the natives are resentful if you don't kiss their no good asses
