Anyone know of any haunted places around town? Homes, businesses or specific areas? Does anyone do any ghost hunting?

The Wal-mart on the Arkansas side. The last time I went there, I caught two goblins back in the automotive department doing the wild thing.

Never done any ghost hunting, but it sounds really fun and scary. I like being scared! Let me know what you find.

What about those old buildings and areas between Miller Bowie feed store and that cemetery and all the way back to south lake drive aka 59hwy? Where those old stacks are? Is that closed to a place they call the old pickle factory? I have scoped some of those places out somewhat but never have been able to stake them out any. Seems the man keeps an eye on you around there. I would like to know who could grant permission to be in some of those old places.

The grim is definitely off limits and wal mart has too many demons. What is the trailer you're talking about Jack? As in trailer house?

Thanks for the input.

Its a joke about Wounded trailer. No ghost. Yes those old buildings by Miller Bowie, the old brick factory are both close to pickle factory. Use to be only homeless in brick plant. Have you seen the Gurdon lights ? I've seen it. Strange an scary to say the least.
And the cemetery on Ark side hwy 67. Had friends who say the big statue of Jesus moves.

Spoke with a man that lives about a mile from the section of tracks noted for the Gurdon lights- he said since last year when they removed that section of train tracks the sightings have rather diminished. I saw it many years ago- it was great.

Hello! I am co-founder of Shreveport ParaSeekers. We were coming into town this weekend and were looking for info on a couple places we wanted to check out. I wanted to know about hotel Grimm and there is an old abandoned house off McKnight Rd. Would you know who we could call to be able to investigate one or the other or maybe both? Do you know about any other locations we could possibly check out, that would be great! Thanks!

There's an old cemetery behind Spring Lake Park school. When I was a teen, a carload of us got some beer and sat in the cemetery around midnight, waiting for spooks to show up. Nothing happened. Later, I heard a couple of nights following, some guys saw a headless girl wandering from grave to grave.
One of my sister's friend's sister said she was on a date parked in an isolated area back around 1956, and her boyfriend suddenly started the car and drove her home. When she got out of the car, there was a bloody prosthetic hook (like Captain Hook) hanging from her door handle.
I have ghosts where I live: they are seen for a split second, walking around inside. They call my name now and then. More than once, they have actually touched me. I don't see their hands, but I feel their touch.
They are also to blame for moving my coffee cup or the car keys or even my checkbook and hiding them in odd places.
Going east on Dudley St, way back in the 60s,'fore it was built up out there, the road would actually fool drivers and they'd drive off the pavement and into the bushes! I seen the road move; scared me good.
I got lots more tales but I gotta get up early tomorrow .

ok continuing on ...Back around 1967, one of my friends who may still be alive so I can't give his name, said he was driving back to town from Wamba on a dirt road where he'd been visiting a friend. It was cold, wet and late at night. He saw this girl walking and so he offered her a ride; she got in and said she lived down the road a few houses. She seemed in pain but he didn't want to get involved in anything, so he let her out at her house and drove on.
Next day, he got up, went to the car and found a girl's purse. He thought it must have been left in his car by the girl from last night. So he drove out to the house she lived in and knocked on the door. This old woman answered the door. He asked if the girl was there and the old woman said she lived alone. He then showed her the purse and said "I gave the girl a ride to here last night." The woman examined the purse and began crying; she said " This is my daughter's purse. She was run over on this road at night exactly ten years ago."
Is it true? Decide for yourself. The house is no longer there.
Next story will be : ghosts of the old Southern Ice Plant.

Damn topix is screwy, locked up on me and didn't save my story, so here it is in shorter form:
Summer 1967, I'm working there, boss man tells me to never go back to the abandoned part of the buildings, ironically the only part left today. So, the co workers told me ghosts lived there.
Madame Woar ran the boarding house next door. One evening she confronts me about our employees peeking in the window when the girls are entertaining customers. I told her it wasn't us. She said she'd seen a guy in white run back to our building when she yelled at him, but it was dark and she couldn't identify him. I told her it was a ghost, as they lived there. She said she'd call the police if it happened again, but I knew she wouldn't or she'd be arrested for running a house of ill repute.
