Man dies after being arrested by Salina police

A man who had to be restrained when he was arrested, died this morning at Salina Regional Health Center after he became distressed at the Saline County Jail, according to a release from the police department.

Did the Salina Police have probable cause to use excessive force? If the man was observed trying to get into an ambulance did it occur to the police that he might already be in distress?

I hope that the police that used excessive force be brought to justice. If anyone had to witness the heartbreak of his mother, father, and daughter could not have understood WHY?? A meaningless death. It hard to believe that society will never change.

Two stories here point up something is wrong. One--Probation ordered for former Kansas jail officer for fondling female inmates, and Two--A man dies in a Salina hospital after being restrained by police. It is unfortunate that persons who want unquestioned authority gravitate to police duty. Was this man excessively restrained? Did the actions of the Salina police lead to his death? If the answer to these two questions is YES, then some deep investigating needs to be done and some police personnel need to be fired or reassigned.

The person that "investigates" it's own, is Lt.Gerry, he won't look into anything. He couldn't find his butt with both hands.

the salina police are so gay i wouldnt consider them real cops cause they still havent caught a guy that murdered old lady 2 years ago

Its about time someone final looks into the salina pd. There are a couple officers that think they're above the law and now they are getting away with murder.

Perhaps they have been too busy looking for the English Teacher impostor that failed you. Salina must have a large red-neck population with the way you sound.
