They obviously knew the attackers, the victims need to man up and give the names to the police.

so glad to hear the helicopter over my house for 2 hours and even more glad it did NOT make the news. It is about time stupid kids raised by immature ignorant parents finally see that you do not get your face on TV for doing something like this. Too bad their all too stoned to realize it though.

An incident on Davis Drive? Not a surprise to those who live within hearing distance of that neighborhood. Bristol just does not make the evening news as often as Hartford, New Haven or Bridgeport. I am willing to bet somehow that it involved drugs and that no one is an innocent bystander.

Davis Drive ought to be bulldozed. It's full of trash with no jobs, living off the taxpayers. I feel bad for people nearby whose home values are lowered merely by being so close to the project.

We're a mile away from Davis Drive yet the police helicopter was circling all evening - at several points it was flying low enough to rattle our windows. Of course we were told nothing by anyone, and just locked all the windows and doors.

We're just middle class people in a quiet neighborhood off Burlington Avenue. Sorry that we don't have enough money to afford a McMansion in Farmington or Canton, but such is life. Bristol's not a bad little city but scum like this make the whole town look bad.

Obviously the police know a lot more then they are letting on. As long as they are only shooting each other the cops don't bother to tell the general population.

the point of a place like davis dr. is for families who are all different situations and cannot afford nicer homes in the area like this ignorant person. this is a matter of the bristol police department who cannot control the solicitors who feel its okay to use the complex for recreation and because there are families with many different sitautions have to settle for the neighborhood. katie, maybe you should look more into this article and you will read that no one involved was a davis dr resident, but i am and i one of those people that dont let my child outside to play in the area.

OMG i lived in Davis Drive and it is a slum area with all the members of a so called gang DOO WOP!! OMG ha ha ha its just a bunch of low life thugs that have nothing better to do with their time but sell drugs and bully others. The funny part is that the Bristol Police has a separate unit located in Davis Drive, and ever since, there has been more trouble there than ever. All researches have to do their job well done; With that said, Bristol is not a town, ha! sorry "CITY" that I would live in by preference.

Bristol in general is not a great place, but just like any other it has one or two people you can exclude from the rest!!

Excuse me but I would like to say that not all Davis Drive are leeches of the system, and its not nice to generalize. Therefore, I would like to inform you that the the Drive has many good offerings. For example, I and several other young people from the Drive are college graduates, and I not only hold a BS but am currently pursuing a MS while working two jobs and caring for a younger sibiling. I am a young, caring, productive citizen who has given much back to the city of bristol through countless community service projects some of which have included going to elderly homes to sing christmas carols. Furthermore, I suggest you brush up on your understanding of the cycle of poverty and if you have such a problem with the drive I suggest you inform your local congressman/woman to ask them to do something about it.

Some kid got shot last night and killed in the Drive right in front of the Police Sub-Station and they didn't catch who did it. It must of been organized but how the heck do the cops not see or hear anything?

It is what it is...SAD....things needs to be done but everyones just pointing fingers...we should all care about the loss of a 24 year old man no matter where he comes from or what you "assume" he is, realize that someone just lost their son and father.+ Before you all start throwing stones at people check yourself...you seem to know a lot about other peoples struggle/charecter(U sound ignorant and heartless). Sure its not fair what the surrounding neighbors have to deal with but the Drive is not new to the area.... stear clear if you feel your not safe.

WE AS A WHOLE need to spread love not war. Its not like this only pertains to those in the "projects". Our society period doesn't promote love as mush as it does hate...so sad.
RIP~

Now thats truth (below)...

that place needs to be bulldozed, leveled, "Extinguished". I know kids who go there all the time to get their "weed" and its a disgrace to my home I call a city. That area needs to be gutted out

You are mistaken, there is mass quantities of DRUGS in the Drive, very few who live there are worth being called innocent

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Aries

A certain person is being very feisty and fiery today. You may also suspect that they're looking for an argument and will provoke you until you rise to the bait. Trigger points include shared finances, sex and any topic that is currently supposed to be off-limits. You'll probably discover that you want to clear the air, but don't get carried away.
