Mississippi was the last state to abolish slavery in the year 1995. They still have the mentality of owning them.

Yes there is still some people here in MS that are prejudice. I don't know where you two are from, it says MI. I have been all over the north and I have seen prejudice there as well. If you think prejudice is on in Mississippi, you need to open you eyes and look around you. I just pray that it gets better everywhere.

They don't have marriage ceremonies at the zoo do they?

Maybe the folk could catch that new mobile marriage van operating out of Vegas. It cost only $99 with a free picture. T-shirts cost $20.

...and you need to stop assuming there's more to a comment than it's intended connotation.

Stating the obvious of prejudice mindset within one geographical location isn't signifying nonexistence in another location. Detroit, for example is a crap hole, that doesn't exclude the existence of other crap hole cities.

Straighten your panties and don't become uptight at mere comments simply because it hits home.

Looks like you are the panty wearer here, Meanie. Your original ignorant comment was intended to provoke a response. The other poster is absolutely correct in their assessment of racism existing far and wide, not just in the U.S. but globally. Racism isn't limited to whites, either, you moronic pinhead.

Geez, another uptight ignorant redneck. Nice spinning attempt, Billy Bob, but you still fail.

My comment was factual. The facts are simple, Mississippi abolished slavery less than 20 years ago. Many people are still alive within that era which means the mindset is most likely playing a role. Got it?

Fact two...everyone who replies within forums is opining opinions or facts. Factual comments, such as mine, simply provide info to you ignorant fools. No reply is required with exception to the uptight crowd you play within. An opinion usually warrants a reply of rebuttal or correction to the opinion.

Overall, ALL comments and replies risk continuous replies/rebuttals for the simple reason of bruised ego from the likes of you and your redneck counterpart.

Regardless whether your counterpart is correct or not about racism, the comment I stated is a fact and direct within it's meaning. Your inability to understand that and the emotional connotation from your counterpart based on that fact hitting close to his home doesn't negate the truth.

Now run along and tend to your crop.

you can dish it out but can't take it....I said it was everywhere including Mississippi. What is your problem? Here is what you said
"Mississippi was the last state to abolish slavery in the year 1995. They still have the mentality of owning them." I think it was pretty clear what you me by "They still have the mentality of owning them" When you say they, you are referring to everyone.

You're becoming a bigger sissy than I expected.

What you fail to understand is your feelings were hurt because you simply thought my comment was directed towards those in Mississippi "only" and nowhere else. Otherwise, you wouldn't have said

You took offense most likely because it's where you live. On the other side, as I generalized a state, your rebuttal was directed to one person with the assumption I wasn't aware there is racism everywhere else, which clearly indicates your bruised ego.

If it helps to ease your hurt feelings a bit, I'll give you kudos to your comment about the word "they". Since your sensitivity fails to view the generalization and requires exact wording, I'll say "many of them" still have the mentality......blah blah." Happy? Don't tell anyone I'm a nice guy.

Time to let it go and stop getting hurt from mere words. Remember, "sticks and stones....."

LOL!! Your rhetoric is old and stale and your logic is faulty. Your use of the term redneck also shows your ignorance. You seem to be the only uptight one posting here. Racism exists eveywhere, pinhead. Maybe you can tell us all about the 237 lynchings of black folk from 1882-1968 that occurred OUTSIDE southern states. Spare us your self-righteous platitudes, oh great one.:)

It's not self righteous when you're right. LMFAO!

The complainers were most likely the little old blue haired widows that sit down front in the "Amem Pew" and roll out those large tithe checks. They DO have power!

ThomasA is correct about the "large tithe checks". Although the complaining congregants were not all women. It was four men and one woman. Their identities are being protected for obvious reasons.

On another note. James Beasley, minister to the elderly at FBC Crystal Springs wrote a darned good editorial in the local weekly newspaper. I quote....."In my opinion, we messed up big time". The entire editorial was very honest. I'm a bit surprised it hasn't gone national yet.

They should have married them, demanding a deposit of at least 500,000 to cover the damage and looting that will take place along with the fact that there would be at least one shooting or stabbing.Even loving Christians are fed up with the uncontrolled behavior of simians, there's a backlash coming people.Hide and watch.
