Good catch...I meant Logans.
Now see, there's a place that I won't go back to again. I got the catfish "fillets" there. They were small deep fried triangles that looked like something you'd get from a box of Mrs Pauls frozen fish.

I could just go to McDonalds and get a better sandwich. They might try hiring a chef instead of a cook if they want to make a go of staying.

As far as the Lake house on the pond in Staunton they need something that is their specialty. It was not all that special.

Most folks around here wouldn't want to pay the prices required to support a staff of actual chefs.

I mainly go there for the salad bar. The steaks are good to above average IMO. That's horrible with the fish though lol

I agree with ya..Terre Haute is well..Terre Haute..there will never be a 5 Star restaurant even close to the place..in Atlanta we have over 300 5 Star eatery's..and as ya mentioned it is "pricey"..I really don't believe them "Hoosier" folks up there would be willin' to pay $60 to $100 per plate for a Diner.

Exactly right. Most of them bitch about going to Stables and paying $35-$40 a head. Granted the value there is questionable, but still.

Against my better judgement, and after reading the comments on here, I decided to give this place a try, and I must say that the person who started this topic hit the nail on the head. I mean if I wanted microwaved low-quality food, horrible service, and dog-ugly waitresses then I would have just went to ShowMii's instead.

At least we would all agree that the worst restuarant in Terre Haute without a doubt is Moggers. Reheated Sams Clubs junk with bad service.

Well I almost agree with you, except the girls at Showmii's are much nastier and methed out looking. Bith places were absolutely horrid in every aspect. Too bad that neither place had a comment box. It matters not, I will spend my money at neither place every again.

We ate at Tuscany's earlier this evening because we liked the Paris restaurant so much.

We're sorry to report that the food today was outright nasty! I had the shrimp and it was fried to a crisp, hard and chewy. My wife had the lasagna and it was definately right out of the freezer.

Absolutely no atmosphere, no background music and felt like a cafeteria inside.

Doesn't look good people.

We're happy to report that the food today was outright awesome! I had the shrimp and it was cooked perfectly and very tasty. My wife had the lasagna and it was definitely homemade.

Great atmosphere inside.

Looks good people.

Make up your mind people. Have eaten at the one in Tuscola and the one in Paris and given the experience at both places the one in Terre Haute is definitely NOT on my list of places to dine.

The first poster was not bashing the place, just an observation from a dissatisfied customer and thats ok. They have made a tremendous investment in an old building that would otherwise be vacant. They have not been open very long, lets give them a chance to succeed. If they suck a year from now Im with you-forget it.

Me and my family ate at Tuscany on Wabash and I would say my experience was quite forgettable. Nothing was bad really, but nothing was really worth returning for either. I thought the food was average at best. I got the lunch bar so I got to sample a little bit of everything.
I hope they get it turned around and I will give them a try again, but they probably should try some different things here. Something obviously is different from the paris place bc all these people believe so.(Havent tried the Paris place though)

I love the Atlanta person coming in and bashing TH. wow really. Come to atlanta the town with one of the worst reputations in the country. They have more gangs than restaurants. I think the first 48 show and cops film exclusively in there and Memphis. Come get a good steak and get shot as your leaving. Yah i will take my lil Terre Haute Town and eat at Outback without the risk of taking a 9 in the back.

And i think it is funny how people from different towns come on a TH forum board and comment on how bad TH is... So whats worse living in TH or the fact that these idiots hate TH but continue to follow the on-goings in Terre Haute. Get a life people.

FYI I really like Logans. I think it is a lil pricey, but their marinated chicken breast is really good and i like their salad bar.

Yeah Logans is good but a tad heavy on the old wallet. It's the only place that I've saw Mullins brand French dressing LOL!

Good food = good times :)

What about Umi Grill and Black Angus do these places not meet your standards of great food with chefs preparing the meals? Both of these business's have had several great reviews, Umi for example has made papers in Chicago for being a great place to dine.

Terre Haute is lucky to have Sushi Umi and J Fords. Both are at the top of my list.

Just face it people, there are no Five Star Restuarants in Terre Haute. You get want you are willing to pay for, and Terre Haute doesn't want to pay for crap. Palamino in Indianapolis is a great place to eat. The absolute worse place to eat in Terre Haute is without a doubt Moggers. J Fords Angus is decent, probably the best food in Terre Haute that is actually chef prepared and not out of a frozen box from Sams Club.

You're very misinformed "Hoghead".downtown Atlanta is one of the safest cities to be in the U.S...of course anyone who thinks "OutBack" is the place to dine is also mis-guided and most likely thinks that the "Bib" overalls he hasn't changed out of since last year is proper dinin' attire, and most assuredly presents a handful of discount coupons he has collected from friends and family to pay the tab with expectin' change back..geez
