Although I hate seeing gunshot wounds coming through my office, I would rather see a 'self defense gunshot wound' rather than a 'homicidal gunshot wound.'

Poorly written article. If "No charges will be filed in this case" as the story suggests, then why "Man charged with murder"? The story never says when (or even if) anyone was actually charged. In fact, it implies no one was ever charged or ever will be.

Was never charged, and will not be charged. Lots of rumors and conspiracy theories in Linton. Likely by those close to the dead guy, who do not know crap, but only say things out of emotion. But someone beating the crap out of me, inside my own home, and I get the chance, they would be shot too.

Good job on the homeowners part neutralizing a threat towards his life.

The title of the article is not only misleading, but is also a weak attempt to put a negative spin on a positive outcome.

Just to make it a bit more clear for anyone reading this -

Existing Indiana laws allow residents of the state to use a firearm or other deadly weapon to protect themselves or someone else from serious bodily injury.Indiana residents do not have a duty to retreat prior to using deadly force either.

Know your state laws.

Not sure what to make of your post. Are you trying to convey your dislike of guns & personal protection, or trying to be funny? If this is attempt at humor I'd suggest you try something else. Laugh & make ridiculous comments all you want. Maybe someday you or one of your family members life will be on the line & then it will not be very funny at all.
