What is the best burger place in town? I am not talking about a processed patty but a hand patted all beef cheeseburger. I've heard of a place called Moonshine, has anyone tried their burgers?

It's been a long time for a Tweety. Are they still good?

Moonshine burgers are some of the best in the tri-county area for sure! As far as others around here, I'm not all that familiar with any local burger places....although the MoonGlo outside Danville, IL is pretty good as well.

Green Acres Dairy Barn on Mill dam road has good burgers. Tweety's are good also.

I have to agree with everything I've seen thus far: Moonshine, Tweety @ Charlie's, and the Buffalo burger at Green Acres.

Anybody remember the Kifta burger at Candy's Deli? Yum!!!

Snack's does have good burgers, but the best I've had lately is at the New Goshen Pub. Lisa makes one hell of a half pounder, loaded up for 3.50. We eat lunch there quite often. You can't hardly eat it all.

Mell's, used to be Bon-Ton, in Paris has a killer burger and cheeseburger. It is fresh hand shaped and when ordered loaded it is all a person can do to finish it off. The double cheeseburger was $4.50 and worth every penny. Went to Moonshine a couple of weeks ago. FANTASTIC burgers.

Now were gonna go back a few years ago when I was a "Young Lad" while workin' a Fugitive Case in Terre Haute I frequented a Bar and Grill establistment named "Rafters", well ding dang if they did'nt serve some of the best "Burgers" I'd ever come upon..yeah a bit greasy I suppose but back in the day that's what "Burgers" were all about..Stayed in town for 3 days..must have ate 4or5 of em' every night..does this little joint still exist?

By far, if you have not been for the most awesome burger in TH its the Meghan Burger at Bohannons East at 18th and Wabash Ave. Its hand-made grilled sirloin on a flat-top grill! Hand cut fries are by far the best too! This is a must if you want a fabulous burger thats not frozen or made w/ mystery meat....They have filets which are not on the menu, fresh cut Angus form Mikes Market. Simply the best!

Moonshine is great! Bill Geist voted it tops on the CBS Sunday Morning show when he was searching the US for the best burger joint.

If you go on the weekend there's usually motorcycle groups, car collector groups, & many other groups who gather there. I've been in there on Saturdays when they've had people lined up out the door & through the parking lot. Just be there before 12:30, that's when they close.

Nobody in Terre Haute has a great burger. Moonshine is the best in the Midwest.

The Beef House restaurant at the I74/hwy 63 north exchange has very good burgers, you pay around 6 or 7 dollars but man-oh-man are they fresh and juicy!
