My sympathies and prayers go out to the Javins family. They are right, how does the coroner and police know he simply rolled into the water? Khors hypothisis is far fetched. They do not want to put the time and effort in investigating the case. Not be graphic but I imagine what was left of the body was bones. He could have been killed without it showing on his bones. It is a shame that the family will never know what really happened to thier son and have closure. Hopefully someone who knows something will come forward and tell the truth.

Kohr is a hack and is a small town political tool. He couldn't find out what the real cause of death is if he watched the video of the event. He may have been the best we have at his position, but that still doesn't say much about him. He is arrogant and lazy. All that needs to be done is look at the time he puts into any autopsy versus those of others in his peer group and one can see he is either incredibly gifted or he cuts major corners and just does the minimum. May bet is on the minimum. He has hindered more cases than he has helped.

My sympathy also goes out the Javins family. It is a shame that things have turned out as they have but they will probably never be told as they happened and leave the family always to wonder. No parent should have to go through this.

It is unfortunate for the Javins family that they had to go through their loss. I don't think conspiracy theories are going to help with closure. I knew Scott and liked him. Maybe we should look at the research they did (using a similar vehicle with similar results) and let the man rest in peace. The case is closed, I feel the findings are sound and it is very unlikely that it will be reopened. The fact that no one came forward for many many years with any credible tip should tell us that the official account is most likely the correct one.

one question I have.... why is it so difficult to think that the young man went to the park to sober up before going home? Maybe he didn't want his Mother to see him so drunk, is that possible? and that he just chose the wrong spot to pass out in. Why does it have to be sinister? He looked like a nice young man who liked to party and his parent's seem like very nice people. Maybe it was a respect thing he had for his parents and just wanted to sober up and a tragic accident occured because of it.

Anything is possible but there are a few things that didn't seem to fit but I just don't trust our local pathologist to come up with a crime scene and solve a mystery. I know the parents of this man and find them very good people. It is terrible regardless of what happened though at this point.

It is amazing that no one has brought out the information about him being into meth and money issues with unsavory people due to the meth. I have had several employees tell me he was in problems. These are the same kids that went to school with him. The picture is still missing for the truth.
So is someone thinking that it sounded too similar to the car that drove into Raccoon Lake despite the lighted signs & the rumble strips?

I guess my problem is why was he in the park after dark. If he was drinking and doing drugs then it is his own fault on the fate that he met. We all know what goes on over at fairbanks park. The truth of is that we will never really know what happened.

The real problem is, if Scott did not go to Fairbanks Park on his own. then someone is getting away with murder! Someone will eventually come forward with a heavy heart and tell the real story.
Hope and pray that this never happens to another family again.

Interesting info...

Notice how the pieces don't fit...

I hope several people have copies of the local television news reports on this! One can always claim to be misquoted in a paper, but a video can be rather damaging.

And another (typos NOT corrected):
Did someone forget Scott had a family member selling legitimate anhydrous ammonia to the farming community and two men from West Terre Haute wanted it?
that reminds me wouldnt his seat belt still be locked if he was stil in his seat strapped if he tryed to struggle wouldnt he go for that firstthen try to get out? odd isnt it?

Question 1. The missing person was reported from Scott's home, which is in the county. That's why the sheriff's dept. took the report.
Question 2. They did follow up on tips, hundreds of them. It is not uncommon for some one to offer information in exchange for a lesser sentence. Criminals knew that the police were looking for Scott. I'm sure he thought he could make something up and it would help. Or maybe he had heard a rumor and really did think that is what happened.
Question 3. Anhydrous is not hard to come across in this area. I have NEVER heard of murder for it. Why wasn't his seatbelt on? If I were going to sleep for awhile, I would take mine off. Also, some people don't wear them at all. You can't predict what an intoxicated person would do if they awakened in a submerged car in the dark of night. Common sense goes right out the window when you are dying.

Scotts father worked for growers coop.
owns a fuel truck and only sold gasoline and diesel fuel. had nothing to do with anhydrous ammonia.

get you facts straight please!
