Is it illegal to be a bartender if you are also a police officer or State Trooper? I'm not being a smart ass, I'm just wondering because I don't know.

Nope, not illegal, but might be in violation of a specific agency's rules and regs. Many, if not most, have rules that prohibit secondary employment where alcohol is sold.

A police officer cannot own an establishment that serves alcohol, or have a liquor license to serve it. Troopers cannot even work security in a bar, like other dept's can.

I hope your early retirement gets approved before the truth comes out... I have a strong feeling your gonna be in the same boat as the other 3. Funny thing is though, they're gonna get re-instated..... your gonna get the axe...
