kids make choices and they need to take responsibility for those choices. Parents that cry and whine about their kids being locked up should have THEIR HEADS EXAMINE !!!! Kids need to be held accountable and parents need to STOP being their kids FRIEND and start BEING THEIR PARENTS !!!!! Give me a break denise!! Punishment does fit the crime if it is against the law to have drugs than jail is the consequence. Sure, i agree, Your son does need some drug counseling, however, punishment needs to occur too. I am so tired of seeing kids get slapped on a wrist for everything and parents whinging about how it is an injustice because their kid(s) get caught. Stop blaming society and START PARENTING !!! TAKE RESPONSIBILITY and DONT BLAME the police for yours sons choices. Consider him being in jail a GOOD THING and maybe he will realize he needs to straighten up and obey the law !!! Enough said!

They All did good on getting one's of the streets that uses DRUGS in my eye's,
But as far as as kids in the raising up and teaching right from wrong
in my childhood days If wrong was done you got punished and corrected in whipped with switches, belts hands whichever was the best for the parents
NOW A DAYS IT'S ALL CHILD ABUSE ! YOU didn't see this much when I was a child growning up
BUT TODAY it's all shooting, drugs, stealing, robbing, maybe it should go back to years ago on correcing children

It's great to hear that you're working on busting these dealers. I see a lot of familiar names who have been busted multiple times in the past. It's obvious they haven't and won't learn their lesssons.... prison time is the best answer. No more 'slaps on the hand, put them away and make it for a long time!!!!!'. I'm sure they have visited our home on more than one occasion, stealing our anhydrous..... they should be shot!!!! I hate theives and drugs, along with many others, now do something about it!!!!!

Job well done for law enforcement. Heartache for parents and loved ones who deal with the addiction on a daily basis.
watched enough "Intervention" to know that if I was one of those parents, I would be relieved to know my child would be in a position to MAYBE make a change.
Can't blame city officials for a child's boredom. Parenting is a huge responsibility not to be taken lightly. This generation of youngsters has been handed everything without having to work for it. TV, cell phones, mp3's, video gaming systems, cars (including insurance and gas) and still they're BORED. Time to look at ourselves and ask, "are we really being responsible parents"?

I,m an ex offender from Brazil and let me tell I used and sold drugs for more than 20 years! I was one of those who thought it would NEVER happen to me, well guess what it did! YES I learned my lesson. I spent 6 months in the county jail and now am severing 1 Year on house arrest! The best thing that ever happened to me was moving myself and my children from Brazil. The drug problems in Clay County is way out of control. I am happy to say I HAVE BEEN CLEAN AND DRUG FREE FOR OVER A YEAR!!!!! and yes like others I do know most of those that got busted this time around. Hope you all see the mistakes you have made. I'll pray for you all.

Thank you, some don't realize that after getting a felony drug charge how hard it is to find a job. I have tried to find one but no one wants to hire me. I just wish people could judge me for the person I am today and not the drug dealer and user I once was. I'M PROUD TO BE CLEAN!!!!!!!!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't call 40 year old people "kids". Most of the people arrested were at least 30-most were older than that. That makes them ADULTS. Oh and way to go law enforcement!!!!

I'm sorry, did you say he has a drug problem, or you do? You must to say that lack of skate parks is to blame for them getting arrested. Get a clue lady!

Ok.. to anyone who says that a drug dealer/user is not a threat to society is a bit nieve. When people steal to get drugs ir money for drugs society suffers, when people cannot get jobs and live on welfare because they are on drugs, society suffers, when someone is strung out and drives and hits someone society suffers. Most people with "just a drug problem" would hurt anyone they had to in order to get their drug, any addict has the potential to be a threat to society... I have a brother that was the most gentle person I ever knew.. until he popped some Xanax, then he became someone else, and eventually tried to kill someone... he is now in prison. I love him, but I agree that is where he needed to go.
However... I do believe 100% in treatment and rehabilitation for addicts, and I believe everyone deserves a chance to change, and help in doing so.
But, back to my opriginal point... anyone that commits a crime is a threat to society... and I know that no parent wants to think of their child in this way... I strongly suggest attending a Nar Anon or Al Anon meeting or 2.....

My husband and I are raiseing our five children here in Brazil. I love that they are able to grow up in the same small town we did. I am sadden that parents are getting the blame from so many. These are parents of the kids sitting at Kroger. I don't think a skate park is gonna help them nor is anything else except jail time. Most of them have been to rehab multiple times as plea bargans. I would like to see them taken off of our streets and jailed for the maximum. All of them. It may just be that after 3 years not, 5 weekends in the jail or 14 day max. rehab stay that they are rehabilitated. I feel that house arrest is just a joke. They just get to do that same thing except they have to stay at home to do it. What about 3 strikes your out? I find it as much a threat to have a drug user behind the wheel as a drunk. It's not to late to help these people, but they need tough love just like the kids you claim them to be. Obviously they haven't learned the first time, why does the system keep letting them down? Great job to our law enforcment! Now will Judges Keep up their good work?

You should be very proud! You will find a job. There are people out there that believe in second chances. My son struggles with his sobriety everyday and he has been successful at finding work. Don't give up.
