What's funny is that if you're not breaking the law, you'll never have to see a police officer. Quit blaming the police for your problems, drunk driving, drugs, fighting, stealing, etc. and you won't have to worry about them.

We Cops will enter your house now with out knocking!

"We believe ... a right to resist an unlawful police entry into a home is against public policy and is incompatible with modern Fourth Amendment jurisprudence

INDIANAPOLIS | Overturning a common law dating back to the English Magna Carta of 1215, the Indiana Supreme Court ruled Thursday that Hoosiers have no right to resist unlawful police entry into their homes.

In a 3-2 decision, Justice Steven David writing for the court said if a police officer wants to enter a home for any reason or no reason at all, a homeowner cannot do anything to block the officer’s entry.

“We believe … a right to resist an unlawful police entry into a home is against public policy and is incompatible with modern Fourth Amendment jurisprudence,” David said.“We also find that allowing resistance unnecessarily escalates the level of violence and therefore the risk of injuries to all parties involved without preventing the arrest.”

I am in the middle of a problem regarding the Terre Haute police department. Some of my family members were involved in an incident a few weeks ago. Some of them were senior people, with health conditions that got violently arrested. What strikes me the most, is that there is one officer in particular who HAS been suspended for excessive use of force in the past. My relative has been charged based upon numerous allegations made by this police officer which are far from the truth. This officer's version of what happened is full of irregularities, just like his career. All I ask is for some justice. This situation has been a tragedy for all of us, since it threatens the future of my family in all ways. Does anybody know of similar stories?

Finally some common sense, thank you for that. The only exception I take is to the whole idea that if an officer does do something they will just get away with it because the other guys on scene will just lie for him. Remember Norm Loudermilk? Or, Officer Newman who was suspended for 30 days without pay a few years ago. They were both punished for misconduct. Norm needed to leave for the betterment of the department, but I know Newman personally and can tell you that it was a lesson learned. He is a great officer and has become a better officer because of it. That should be proof enough to you that punishment does get doled out.
It appears officer Newman forgot his lesson. He arrested my husband for things he did not do, even after my husband was cooperating. He made up a false police report of what happened and now we are up to our heads with false charges. How many more people have to suffer Brad Newman's anger management problems? Without mentioning the beat up of a 60 year old man, with heart problems for absolutely no reason. Of course, as long as you have $10,000 to pay your bond.. it is all fine.

Give us the details along with court cause number so we can research it. Also, what independent and tangible evidence do you possess that the officer used excessive force?

First of all, thanks for you prompt reply.
I don't know the court case number, but I will find it. I believe there are pictures of my relative's face after the arrest. I will gather all the evidence they have. As far as my husband goes, he was arrested, kicked while in handcuffs, pushed his way to the police car, insulted with expressions like "who is the bitch now", his rights were never stated and he is being accused of assaulting officer Newman. There are at least 2 whitnesses and cameras. I know my husband and his family and I know this is not true.

When things go bad the police will machine gun people and ride around in paramilitary tanks using less-lethal munitions and tazering old ladies and children. What is wrong with this country. It’s like everyone revels in our country’s destruction. They literally love it.

My wife was allegedly raped by a terre Haute police officer named Larry Manley 20 years ago. She has been mentally tortured since. Police corruption...they hired an alleged rapist. He pulled her over for speeding a few years ago...didn't give her a ticket, but my wife called me in total fear.

Larry Manley wasn't a police officer 20 years ago... Shame you must slander a professionals name. You were quick to throw out his name....what is yours.
