It outrages me that Callie Wright..once AGAIN.. gets released. This is her THIRD GO ROUND and arrest for METH related charges. Not to mention the first arrest was with her having meth in her daycare! Oh, she got OR'd because she is pregnant? Whatever, this also means she will give birth to a meth addicted baby. Im tired of certain people playing the pity card and not facing the music for their choices

but what about those of us who use pseudo for sinusitis? Its all about choices isnt it? Good choices and bad choices. So just because someone uses Pseudo for bad doesnt mean that the government shud ban it from the rest of us who use it for good. You could use that same reasoning for fertilizer. Well becasue someone can make one hell of a boomer from using fertilizer like T Mcviegh did then the government should ban all fertilizers, right?

Wrong!

Ezduzit: please check your facts, none of those people were "making" meth, they were importing it.

Secondly I feel for those who legitimately use pseudoephedrine products for relief of sinus problems, however I ask, would it be more satisfactory to pay for a doctors visit to obtain a valid prescription for the ephedrine product to help keep it out of wrongdoers hands, or would you prefer to have your neighbor cooking meth, have their house blow up, have the fumes cause you further long term lung/breathing problems, and have to pay ever increasing taxes to help support the children that these people leave in their wake?

As for me, I welcome the prescription requirement for ephedrine products, even though it's probably dead in the water as walmarts corporate HQ is now forcing both TH stores to continue to sell without requiring prescriptions after both stores agreed not to. Just another example of why walmart is NOT a partner in our community.

What people need to understand is that everything has a cost. Those costs can be in many forms. Sometimes they are monetary, while other times the cost can be your liberty and/or freedom.

Thwarting the sale of pseudoephedrine for meth making can be done a couple of ways (at least). You can increase the investigatory/enforcement efforts, but that has a cost. The costs can be for increased staffing...or the loss of security/productivity if we simply reassign current staff.

Or we can regulate it heavily and the cost is our freedom/liberty...along with the possibility of a quickie doctor visit (which our boy Obama will surely pay for).

We just have to decide which cost we are more comfortable with.
