No one has been awarded yet but it up for bid and decision. Contact your Commissioners and give them your 2 cents worth. I vote for Care.

I personally listen to the scanner in our office. last week TC declined 3 runs one day because they had no ambulances available. Care jumped on it. hey don't even have the contract yet are runninG 17 AMBULANCES!!
Now they have a new contract so they can hire more emt's and get more ambulances. It's ok if they need to have someone else help we all do at times it does'nt mean we are not doing our best or are slacking off. It just means more work for everyone.

Trans-Care all the way. The care ambulance company is lazy and unwilling to do their jobs. I see them sitting down eating and shopping around the mall and Gander Mountain just waiting for calls.
Yes they are waiting for calls cause they don't have the account. So they wait for work more that Transcare. It only makes since. If you were sitting around home on call for your work what would you be doing? Please, I think Transcare is doing a great job I have NOT heard anything bad from anyone I know. But do not hit Care hard just cause you saw them waiting on call just incase Transcare needed backup. The second man is just as important as the first. Its all for the peoples well being in our community.

we don't have the 911 contract doesn't mean we don't have contracts. You all wait for work just as much as we do so please get your facts straight. Second man?!? That's hilarious ask the hospitals who they prefer. Better yet ask the fire departments, last I knew they call care to take their rollovers or respond withs. Who has the most lawsuits against them? Not us.

I just read over my quote. Thats really bad. Things look very different after you get a little sleep. But I do have to admit I really suck at typing, spelling, language skills. Also my mind works much faster than my hands. You all know what I mean, Like when you are writing something and you leave out words and letters. You know it's not what you want to write but hey thats what came out. Thank you for understanding.

I have a few questions for Just wondering. Are you a Trans-care employee? Also are you really located in Fairmount, IL? Does Trans-care even service Vermilion county in Illinois?

Ok, so what is your gain? I see you are very well read on Trans-care, I think. Also I have noticed you do not approve of Care Ambulance, Why? Going both ways by your personal and by your facts tell me why you pick Trans-care.

Trans-Care hands down. After doing some research, Care has never operated or managed a 911 contract. They are primarily a non-emergent nursing home transport company and a back up when Trans-care or THFD units are on other runs. I can't explain why Care has never been awarded a 911 contract after several attempts across the state but commissioners in 92 counties in Indiana plus those in Illinois and Kentucky can't all be wrong. The first 911 contract that would be awarded to Care would be their first ever and that is just too big of a risk for my family.

True that Care personally has not ran a county contract, but the owning company Procarent (made up of Yellow, Care and Gateway companies) does run 911 contracts in Louisville and several counties in KY and a few in Southern IN. The contracts are ran by Yellow Ambulance out of Louisville. The management out of Louisville are the ones who have hired and instructed the Care management team how to run and go after a 911 contract. I dont know how Care would do being a emergency provider, but like Transcare, they started by being backups to the main providers to gain some experience. We will see what happens in 3 days.

Funny, how care runs 911 in Louisville and St. Louis. They have done several emergent roll overs responding with Honey creek themselves. But sense you seem to know all, do continue to amuse me with your stupidity.

Since when does an ambulance company "run 911"? They may have a contract to respond on medical calls but they don't run the 911 system. Ambulance runs are only a portion of what 911 is responsible for.
