I have never heard of youth football practice getting cancelled because it's too hot. After all, it is summer and it usually does get hot! Last Tues(the hottest day of the year so far) practices were in full swing, and it was pretty darn hot Sat at the jamboree. Parents calling the president because it's too hot???? I'm sure that was the parent of the fat kid who doesn't want to play anyway, because he might have to actually MOVE, so keep YOUR kid at home and let the others get out there and sweat and do what they love to do!! Maybe president Todd Princess Pants will postpone the season until it's a little cooler, or will it then be too cold to practice? He looks like he could use to sweat off a few of those extra pounds he's put on around the middle....suck it up President/Coach Russell...it's football.

I totally agree! i wonder if since the vice president of the league, Scooter Grim, has been out of town with North Little Leaugue and unable to practice with his team has anything to do with it??and you know todd is 2 scare4d to say anyhthing, mmhhh?? ya think? hello people! it IS August! and then these same parents that complained about the heat are the same parents that will be complaining about their kid sitting on the bench, really? and then of course these are the same parents that think their child is a star...but they can't even practice in the heat? this is the exact reason that you never hear of any athletes that go on to succeed out of Terre Haute! we have an entire league full of kids with potential, but noone would ever know, because of reasons just like this! no support from our community what so ever! i bet none of our schools, churches, or anywhere for that matter called to offer us the use of their gym?!last wed, yes it was hot, thursday? not hardly. today? maybe, dont know its only 1030 in the morning...David Wire has been wrong before..oh and btw to you wanna be football parents,i hear Nancy Sauers is taking aplications

Todd is suppost to be WW's coach, but he's hardly there or shows up late. Then he'll just stand there on his phone, worthless! And he let Brian Cottee's boy play in the developmental league, and he's in kindergarten. He's constantly jacking around at practice, kicking kids and rolling around on the ground..acting his age of course. And at the jamboree, he took the place of a 2nd/3rd grader and was running the ball. Did you see him fall right before he got tackled? JESUS! If I could I'd go to the league president, but he's our coach! Guarantee my son won't be playing on that team next year! Can we say conflict of interest!!!!

Todd wants to follow the rules that Todd wants to follow. He seems to really like the "it's to hot to practice" rule. What about kids having to be in 2nd grade to play? Or what about not letting convicted felons coach? Yes, there is one coaching this year, a VIOLENT convicted felon at that! I'm surprised that Todd would bend the rules for Cottee since Cottee was bending over Todds wife.

it sure is funny that the high schools sure have been able to get there practices in..oh yeah say all that stuff that they do theirs in the a.m well i seen with my own eyes that the color guard is on the field at this very moment! 11:15 am so why can't we practice tonight, like at 7 or later even? hell it dont even get dark till 9 or later, it's not like the kids have school tomorrow or anything! i'm kinda happy about this tho, because it is to hot for my kid to be out sellin raffle tickets, damn there goes ur money youth football! u should be ashamed of yourselves Todd and Scooter! shame on u both! ah yall are newbies anyways, and ass kissers, always have been!

Well it sucks that Todd is a sissy and don't wanna have practice because HE'S too hot...we at OC have an awesome coach (Anthony Lewis) that actually WANTS to practice and teach his boys some football!!
I was hoping for the kids sake that Todd was a better coach than he is president, but I guess not. I just drove by north and the color guard was out there practicing, it's a sad day when the kid that plays the flute is tougher than our youth football president!!

ANY parent that would let their 5/6 year old play against 3rd/4th graders needs to reevaluate their parenting. I hope that cute lil boy don't get smashed !! There are some big, aggressive little boys on developmental. Sign him up for flag like all the normal people do.

Word is someone called Cottee out about his son being in the league and he told them he was in flag and was just practicing with the kids. I seen Cottee with his son in a WW uniform at the jamboree! What a dumbass, that kid will be out of commission by the time by the time he is in high school.

I am an assistant coach in the league and am not sure where you folks are getting your information, but Todd is not the one who cancelled practice. I do not personally know Todd so don't even go there folks. I happen to be close to an individual in the Vigo County School Corporation (Administration)and I am telling you that it is a FACT that the practices are being cancelled because the ADMINISTRATION has decided they do not want to have an ounce of liability if a kid keels over out on one of their properties. They don't care one bit that the league carries insurance for that stuff, they are simply concerned that some parent may want to sue them. So, get over it and get your facts straight before you start shredding Tood, who is a decent man.

you are all on here talking about youth football as parents of youth football. you are too involved. i bet you care much more about your child's performance than he/she does. try laying off a bit, yelling less at games, and getting less pissed off. FUN and physical and cognitivbe development are the purpose of youth sports and all of you idiots that sucked "when you were in school" need to stop trying to live your glory days through your kids.

My son played last year,I don't recall practice being called off. If it was hot they practiced later, took their pads off and ran drills with no contact. You don't think it was hot like this last season? You got to be kidding me! But they sure will let the color guard and flute players practice huh?

Too bad the school corp has nothing to do with youth football. Our coach had a spot at the Dream Center for our kids to practice and TODD said no, so you need to get YOUR facts straight.

Maybe we are pissed because our kids LOVE to play football (whether they are good or not) and that's why we paid $70.
