I'm amazed that it finally happened when the whole time I was told many times that the police were involved and knew it was going on and someone higher up was being paid off

they can't go arresting every single person who ever played at a game. that would mean they would have to round up at least a hundred people over the last several years. who would they have warrants on except for main people holding the games and were doing other things ?!!

Yea that's what I was hearing that and most were even playing... Yea I stopped many years ago because I didn't want to be there when the gaming busted in going nuts. Yes these guys were very good and these games at time had 1000s of dollars in front of them playing in 1-2 or 5-10 games and had a very large bank roll backing people you name it

A former correctional officer in the bunch. Last I knew he was running the jail kitchen for Canteen. I guess birds of a feather do flock together.

There used to be an illegal poker ring that ran up in the 12pt area a few years back. The story went that one particular individual ran it and a particular mayor allegedly had knowledge of it, did nothing about it due to the person kicking money into his campaign fund. When things got hot, the organizer was informed to lay low. Several officers were involved as they did private security there, in addition to playing as well. Pretty sure these people are exempt from prosecution. Gotta love TH..
