There are 7 comments on the Tribune-Star story from Nov 16, 2017, titled Panel signals weariness with city borrowing. In it, Tribune-Star reports that:

Members of the Terre Haute Redevelopment Commission made it clear Wednesday they expect Mayor Duke Bennett's administration to honor a pledge to reduce borrowing from its coffers to meet general city expenses. Mayor Duke is losing patience with these characters. All they want to do is spend money!

Even though he can't make payroll, the new police station remains on the back burner, the city is falling into disrepair and ruin, having problems financing Phase II of the sewage plant, etc., the Dukester still wants a convention center!!

The 3rd rated worst City in Indiana.
Seems to be going down fast, if properly taxes are raised, the population will dwindle!!!!!

People here cannot offered the following.

1. Convention Center
2. New Jail
3. New Schools
4. New Police Station
5. Sewage Upgrades

Think of any more projects?

I don't know about all of you but I've had it with everyone's threats to the mayor all saying this is the last time mayor. How many times has this mayor been warned to curb spending, balance a budget, and no more financing????

Enough people. Impeach!
