No this a tough job for anyone. It takes time to understand it. Notice I have the conviction of my beliefs to post my real name.

Tom ur only understanding because you know you got the vote for mosted hated coach in youth football history! and it's wasn't because you were a winning coach, it was because you were such an asshole to parents and kids! thats why you have compassion...and you know thats the truth!

Mr. Grover, you should have never took it upon yourself to coach let alone be president. You had alot of talent on your 3/4 grade team and couldn't even score a touchdown, much less win a game. Anthony Lewis took over and I'll be darned if they didn't score in the first 2 minutes. The boys you coached last year no longer have the love for the game and only a handful of them even signed up to play this year in the 5th. You're a hell of a nice guy just not a good youth football coach.

Winning Coach???? Not hardly, his boys(by no fault of their own) couldnt even score a TD much less win a game! I think you meant to put it wasnt because you WERENT a winning coach.

I'm sure that being president is overwhelming, but you have to have the desire to learn and the dedication to make it happen. Todd has neither. He doesn't even show up on time to his own practices, if he shows up at all, then stands around on his cell phone DURING practice! That's setting a great example for his team. He has this league turned upside down and in my opinion he needs to resign and let VP Scooter take it over.

SCOOTER IS THE PROBLEM!! When Scooter Tom KIng Tom Grover took it over they did it for there own kids so they could make up there own rules. Thats why they worked behind the scenes to get Jim lewis out because he made rules for the league not them!!If you want to be president you should not be on the field coaching in any capacity.TOM GROVER could not score in a monkee whorehouse with a bag full of bannanas!!!!

I agree with the fact that Tom Grover should take up a different hobby besides youth football... he sucked all across the board.
Trust me when I say, I am not a big Scooter Grim fan in the least, but I don't remember there being this many issues when he was president, and he is a good coach, you can't take that from him. I believe that he thinks his son Logan is alot better than he actually is, but hell, all the dads that coach their kids do.

Maybe some of you "I know football" parents should take the job. If Todd is doing such a horrible job at this, then you should help out and give your expert advice. This is a VOLUNTARY thing that none of these coaches HAVE to do, but they like the sport and enjoy working with your kids. The bashings really need to stop before Todd and the other volunteers stop wanting to coach. You can't please everyone, so someone is going to be disappointed, but have some class and tell Todd Russell to his face. With the time he has invested in this program, doesn't he at least deserve that instead of bashing him on here?

No matter who takes the title, someone/somewhere is going to have something to say. Year after year, it's the same old thing. I am sure if it was a "paid" position, we would have hundreds of applicants. It's not so this is what you get! Remember, he is "volunteering" his time/family time for the youth boys of Vigo County. This time next week, this will all be forgotten!

Thank you Randy and thank you letsplay! Todd has given up his family time on numerous occassions to deal with youth football and we are ok with that. We knew it would be demanding of his time before he took on the position. But the bashings of him and our family are uncalled for. He would be happy to take the time to field any complaints you may have if you would like to speak to him face to face or call his cell phone. Next week is going to be good! HOpefully the heat will die down so we can all get back to business!!! May God bless you all in the weeks ahead!

Kudo's to you Jennifer. I do not know you or your husband, Todd. However, my nephew is on WW team and absolutely loves it! And the coaches(Todd, John and Greg) are so good to my nephew and have taught him soo much in such a short period this season! Keep doing what your doing, it will payoff!!!

Todd is doing fine considering all that comes with coaching and being league President. I do believe he is asking for trouble though doing both. As a coach his mistake is having Dads as his assistants they all have a kid on the team none is coaching to be coaching they are there for their kid. One coach in particular has his son who is only going into Kindergarten yes Kindergarten playin the whole developemental game and this coach just happens to be best buddies with Todd so Todd if that doesnt look like you breakin rules for your team cause your the President then i dont know what does. So tell Brian to sign his son up in flag like the rest of us did and wait til he is old enough or open the league to all Kindergarteners not just your buddies. Just like anything you do in life though it takes time to learn and i honestly think Todd is gonna be a good President just give him time to learn.

What he needs to do is stop trying to make up for breaking all the rules by dictating when these veteran coaches can hold practice or not. Youth football has never been perfect but he is really running it into the ground. I say clean the whole board out and start fresh.

Todd has been with youth football for atleast 7years that I know as a coach, so he isn't a rookie. He is not dictating when veteran coaches can hold practice. VETERAN coaches should know that and put you in your place when you complain! Oh, wait! You probably don't say it to their faces. It has always been that once school starts you can only practice 3 days a week! For most, education is more important than football!!
