<quoted text>well, he deals with arthritis, fibromyalgia and disorders of that sort. The only thing you can do for it is try to control the pain. Of course, he's going to prescribe more pain meds than the typical family practice physician.
This is very true, but he's not the only dr in the state treating those disorders yet he still prescribed so much that he caught the attention of the attorney generals office and drug task force...odd don't ya think? I don't think most of the DTF is smart enough to uncover billing fraud issues do put that two and two together.

what is the difference between a license being revoked and being suspended? Can a physician whose license is suspended get it back after awhile? By maybe doing rehab and stuff? And if a license is revoked, is that the end of the line?

You can get your license to practice medicine back if it is suspended. There will be more investigation and hearings. He could have to pay fines or face other punishment or possibly have his license placed on probation. A suspension is only a safeguard put in place in case the MD is found not fit to practice or until the issues are resolved. INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY!!!!!!!

Good luck to him on that one! It's NOT easy getting a License to practice Medicine Suspended/revoked whatever the case..so something REALLY bad has been going on & they had the facts to back it up!

He was the only doctor to help me with my fibromyalgia issues. I feel better now than I have in years. And, no, I'm not on any narcotics. Other meds, yes, but no narcotics and he's never given me any. From the report that I saw, his nurse practitioner was handing out the vast majority of those prescriptions. Saw her once and refused to ever be treated by her again.....she needs to go. However, as an employee of his, she is his responsibility and he should have been checking her work. She definitely needs her license revoked!

Does anyone realize how lucky this guy is? With all the evidence and serious charges, he'd be behind bars in most states. Save your sympathy and scratch your head in wonderment.

I would say the patients who liked him and felt he helped them would defend him. They wouldn't continue to see him if they felt otherwise or if they thought he might be operating left of center. Now that verified details are out his patients can see the problem and like anyone would, have stopped defending his methods. Yes they know the truth now and no longer support him. Why do you think the patients should have turned on him before they knew the truth?

I would have the day they confiscated so called "records" with the Drug Task Force! They(DTF) could care less about Medical Billing Issues/mistakes.They were there for Drug's.I don't understand how the Patient's didn't understand that..It was obvious! I'm sure they are not on Topix defending him now because they are worried about where to get their next fix! Most of them are addict's(my opinion) with NO Medical problems to back it up as the Tribune Star stated.I hope the ones who truly are in severe chronic pain can find a reliable, honest Dr. who can treat their pain while also caring for their well being! As for all the Deaths due to Pharmaceutical over dose of loved ones I hope they get Justice!
