How does one go about getting a story deleted from Topix? I see the posts concerning Coach/teacher/son are no longer on the website.

Probably deleted due to a middle school student's name being mentioned in a thread about his discipline. It isn't a public matter.

Someone had to contact Topix and make a request to have it removed. If they truly monitored this forum and removed offensive postings at will, half of the threads would be gone.

You are absolutely correct. Some are offensive in content and language. As far as the student's name being mentioned, there have been others whose names have been posted as well. It's just interesting to me that this supposed incident was deleted after the father responded to the post and he(?) gave his son's name and denied the accusations. Must be all in a "name."

Childrens names should never, ever come up on these posts, for all the obvious reasons. I would think the oh so very concerned parent that you must be, would feel this way also.
Do you even know exactly what you are hoping to accomplish? Does it make you all feel powerful and important? Do you hope to cause pain and turmoil? Bet you chase firetrucks, hoping to see someones home burning.
They did you all a favor by removing those posts.
And just for the record, I am not familiar with the family.

i agree with you 100%. My point, which you missed altogether, was exactly as stated.......how does one get posts removed fromTopix? Children's names should not be mentioned in a forum like this. I'm sure some of the folks whose names appear on here frequently would also appreciate having Topix remove posts about them. How dare you be so presumptuous as to my motives in asking a simple, honest question?

I totally believe his nose should be rubbed in it, he really didn't get any other punishment. If this was some "regular Joe Smoe" the out come would had been alot different..

Read only part of the original thread. Did notice someone(?) posted a comment which basically defended the boy's actions and indicated he was not all to blame. The name on the post was Shawn Turner and this person also named his son(?). He does the kid a great disservice by trying to bail him out or make excuses for his behavior. This will not help the kid learn from mistakes, only that dad will not make him take responsibility for his actions---- you all know the type--- it's never their fault. Someone in the community just doesn't like them.......Karma she is a beeotch.

I know the kid your talking about and he would never do these things to a girl especially the girls at OC. And your talking about the reason his dad said his name is because hes not afraid of someones stupid talk. Hes not hidingbecause he doesnt have to. When the alligations are false theres no reason to hide.

Cause daddy doesnt have to when he doesnt do anything wrong. This all originated when he denied a girl from being his girl friend. She lied and will continue to lie. Daddy better help her out.

Why not start new topic asking your simple, honest question, under something other than Coach/teacher/son?
That is why I question you motive.
