When is the warden going to finally admit that its mostly the guards thats bring in the contraband into the prisons? My husband is in beto unit and just until now! I finally saw guards being searched just like I have to be searched! Looks like if they would have been searched just like visitors in the beginning this would not still be happing! I have to take off my shoes, my belt & walk across a metal detector, so why has it taken this long for officials to man up and finally admit its their own staff thats breaking their own laws? And when the law breakers get busted! They need to be prosecuted to the fullest, not just be fired or transfered to another unit. That would send a message > this wont be tolerated and make the law beakers think twice before breaking the laws that they are being paid to inforce! What kind of message does this give the inmate, which guard charges the highest for contraband? Its all about how much money the law breakers can make from an inmate. It takes common sence which doesnt look like the warden and staff has or wants to admit! Its their own thats beaking the law and bring in the contraband into the prison! WAKEEEE UP WARDEN & stop turning your back on this wide spread problem!!

I knew a very sweet lady(RIP) who befriended an inmate
Robert Latham back in the early '90's
He had convinced her to fill a black garbage bag with as many cartons of ciggarettes she could afford and take them to a certain location and drop them at the side of the road, she did and guess what? He was a trusty that could drive out of Tennessee Colony in an 18 wheeler??!! yep sure enough,
He picked up the goods and did... whatever inmates do with them. From what i heard (some) the guards were in on it ,smokes are quite the money maker on the inside.
I informed the warden and he said it would be looked into, uh huh. Robert Latham was soon released , paroled actually to that sweet lady's house... that lady was conned out of alot of $$
He made his way through several lonely ladies with a bank account.(10 yrs later) I heard he had some family in Buffalo, one of them worked at the pit grill ...i dropped in and asked around sweetly and discovered he was suffering with throat cancer
hmmmmm...my next visit up that way maybe i'll ask if he's dead yet.
