Haven't they always turned their collective noses at the Fourth Amendment? Who is working for whom here? Don't sound right to me.

Prop 4 was just a diversion and hoodwink. If Cherokee County would have arrested Harris the first time he violated his bail conditions, then the poor woman would be alive. Texas law is already clear on this, there is no need for another law to glorify want they DID NOT do in the first place. Why was this guy let out so many times if he wasn't a drug informant for the District Attorney. There seems to be a lot of meth labs in Troup and Cherokee County.

Faye Harris pleaded with Cherokee County law enforcement, including the District Attorneys and Judges to lock up her husband. Robert Harris was a drug dealer and addict that narc on his buyers to the sheriff's department in Rusk. That's why they never locked him up, even when he went to the Rusk State Hospital for treatment under guard. That was his bail conditions. Elmer Beckworth probably believed the druggie would give some more people up, so they ignored Faye Harris' pleas for help. I wonder if they shredded her letters and 911 calls to them? Then they cover the stench up by naming a bogus BS law after her after they let her get killed. Shame.

Robert Harris was in the drug therapy when he shot his estranged wife. Elmer Beckworth gets the credit for coming to her rescue post mortem.

Drugs and crooked dealings go hand in hand in Rusk. What ever comes out there collectives mouths, the opposite is the truth. The lie with each other, figuratively and literally, so much their lies become contradictory. Makes you wonder how someone waiting on bond for a trial that never took place, what kind of deals he was trying to strike up with Elmer Beckworth. You never hear about Harris' murder trial taking place either, because the district attorney's office struck a final deal with Harris to give him 5 years in TDCJ. Sickening.

Pleading murderers down to life sentences to stick up in the Rusk State Hospital. Pleaing petty crimes up to "organized crime" and giving teenagers probation. Cherokee County is run by the scum of the earth.

It's not all bad. They just want to ride both sides of the fence. YOu got District Judges who work side beside no more than 6 people for 30 years at the courthouse in Rusk. Makes you scratch your head when they say on the record that they don't know any of the 6 people, and Bentley's daughter is the court reporter. Makes you wonder why they get off lying so much and what makes them sick enough to pretend not to know the families of the same 6 people they work side by side with, after they just piled out of van going to eat at Catfish King. Grand juries and trial juries do the same; the taxpayers of Cherokee County pay the juries to be "sequestered" at Elmer Beckworth's or his State witnesses restaurant. Eat for free and come to the verdict Elmer and Bentley want.

Cherokee County District Attorney's office would have offense to that "scum" remark. You are implying some sort of cognizant intelligence amounst the collective corruption that might actual ensue some sort of survival mechanism. All they do is lie about how wonderful Charles Holcomb was, when he violated ever law in the book when he ran the shit bag courthouse in Rusk.
If you weren't a goddamn loser, ugggh, then you wouldn't be reading this and running down the hall, pooping in your pants to Elmer. If you weren't a goddamn loser, then you wouldn't be there.

Randy Hatch's wife divorced him because he was a grade A you-know-what. He didn't just spend time with Sheryl Black, he was always on a "secret government business" mission over at some old skanks house. That's a good baptist boy for you.

Senate Bill 599 is a ruse. Faye Harris never stood a chance while her husbanc was a tool of the Cherokee County Sheriff's Department. He was in drug rehab and checking in with a Cherokee County Deputy each day in treatment, yet his bail was never pulled for harassing his estranged wife. Todd Staples and Elmer Beckworth played politics with this dead woman to get their names in the media.

Cherokee County District Attorney Elmer Beckworth will be honored Thursday for his service to victims of violent crimes, reports the Tyler Morning Telegraph. Honored by himself by the same 12 people that sit on the jury out of a voting population of 40000. And out of the 40000 registered voters, two hundred thousand in Cherokee county v0ted for Charles Holcomb and Craig Caldwell.

Wonder if Faye Harris had a $400 thousand dollar insurance policy on her like Jackie Hicks did. That would put another of Charles Holcomb's grandkids through law screwl.
Elmer Bickworth can't wait for the next homicide to take place, so he can get a plaque for no-billing the drug dealing cops in Troup, Jacksonville and New Summerfield.

How can we fool them today? People that gives themselves awards when someone is murdered is very disturbing and shows the motives of Elmer Beckworth, et al, who political sycophantic careers require that indigent black people murder each other annually, so Todd Staples and Beckworth can give each other an award. Harris' husband already made his plea; Cherokee County newspaper will not report it. It takes Topix to post the reality of corrupt Cherokee County activity.

Give Beckworth and Staples enough credit to be savy enough to come up with a way to emotionally sway the numbskulls in Austin to vote for something that already was the law, get Staples' name in the papers AND cover the fact that Cherokee County did nothing to stop Robert Harris from executing his wife. When someone is killed in Cherokee County then the prosecutors get their name recognition, they get an award for "helping the victim of violent crimes" by indicting a ham sandwich AND they get to share the insurance monies of the dead person a la Charles Holcomb and the Jackie Hicks' murder in Alto circa 1992.

We are supposed to believe that out of a state with hundreds of thousands of domestic abuse offenders out on bail, that Elmer Beckworth was the first prosecutor in 150 years of Texas history to figure out that someone out on bond could murder someone. Wait a minute, Faye Harris filed multiple complaints on her husband Robert Harris, so why didn't Cherokee County ever pick him up. Oh yeah, they were picking him up and taking to the Rusk State Hospital for drug treatment. Huh? Robert Harris was in Cherokee County custody and under supervision when he murdered his wife? So why the stupid Proposition 4 measure? Oh yeah, so Cherokee County could actually look like they did something instead of dealing meth out of the Troup city hall, cops molesting Jacksonville women, tampering with evidence and the other illegal activities going on in broad daylight.
I'm so stupid I actually believe that out of the entire state, that Cherokee County figured out that violent offenders out on bail could violate their bonds AND NOT BE ARRESTED.
If this had happened in any other county, Robert Harris would have been in handcuffs the moment he violated his bail conditions. Only in Cherokee County.
