Why not ask George Bush? He started a trillon dollar war in Iraq without paying for it. With that kind of inspiration, I'm sure the Texas Legislature can figure out a way to build and repair highways for free.

This is about texas you retard, not the federal government, further... Mr. Obama is spending a trillion dollars on a healthcare plan that is not needed.

Legalize Marijuana tax it and sell it and the revenue will follow "threat it special" just like alcohol except it's 99.1% less harmful than booze, the other .9% is harmful only if you abuse it just like drinking and driving.

Kill welfare programs and you'll have money coming out your ears.

We don't need no stinking health care...but we do need a nice long drawn out war. That will make everything better.(eyeroll) Who's the retard? Funny how everything was running good for years and years then a republican is president for 8 yrs and everything turns to $hi+. We don't even have enough money to build roads, for crying out loud. |

Why is it everytime I see a picture of Idiot Shapliegh, the words "TAX HIKE" are always in the text below his ugly face.

What happened to the billions that congress passed for creating the jobs?
Last I heard, there were still lots of $ unspent. |

How will El Paso ever become the least car dependent city in America if all it does is build new roads.... Perhaps our city leaders should give up on that vision or put all their dreams into some other vision. Heck, why not just pave over ever square inch of desert. Future generations will love living in the Concrete City.

We don't need any more roads (something Perry is pushing for). Houghton is a toad.
Those greedy republican theives aren't credible so they try to get Shapliegh to sell their agenda. We need more rails, less cars on the road. |

Umm, actually things were running well for 6 years under Clinton (there was a recession when he took office). Funny thing is that there were republicans calling the shots in congress for those 6 years. The only thing bubba was really in charge of was national security and we saw how well that worked out on 9/11. We then had two short recessions due to the tech bubble bursting and 9/11. These were short due to taxes lowered by the Bush administration and republican congress. Things went pretty well for the next 5 years after that and then the Dems took over both houses of Congress. Then as you so eloquently put it, things started to "turn to $hi+." |

It is needed. Where are the alternatives from the other party. |
||||
Or any time a Bush is in office. There is a War. |
||||
Where is that extra you talk about? |

The answer is simple. Give tax abatements to poltically connected people for things like malls and hotels. Duh!
|
|||
Nice thought. Example is Paul Foster and the people who help him escape paying his fair share of taxes by tax abatement's. |
