After reading the article in the San Louis Obispo Tribune it would seem that this was not a random act or the act serial killer. With multiple gun shot wounds there would be an a lot of blood and I must say that I was somewhat shocked that his brother Gene would hug him. I know that grief can affect people in different ways, but in doing that he disturbed a crime scene.

If I were the family I would start looking to people that knew him and sometimes that looking within the family.

it has 'personal written all over it.
It does not seem like some random act,I would be looking in his immediate circle just prior to his death.

I would taking note of anyone that knows the family that might have purchased something that would be out of their budget or acting out of character when Jerry's name is mentioned.

I agree. Since the home was not ransacked that says to me whoever did this was not interested in what Jerry had in his home but what could be had in the long run. Someone that was looking for any money that could have been hidden in the house would have tore it up looking for it. That in itself says that this was not a random act. I am sure Law Enforcement would be thinking that also.

Has anyone been questioned and how may times have they been brought in to be questioned ? That would also narrow down who Law Enforcement is looking at as a prime suspect.

That would most likely be a family member. There is land involved. I would be curious as to who had the most dealings with Jerry within his family circle. Maybe a possible on going disagreement ?

being one of Jerry's two siblings, i can assure you my Sister and I had nothing to do with Jerry's homicide. Simply put- we were raised proper. We both loved our Father.

It is normal for law enforcement to look at family first. Hope that your family gets answers soon.

Thanks. It's beginning to look like the person responsible is taking their secret to the grave. It must be a horrible thing to live with, knowing your capable of such a cowardice act. Maybe someday that person will face their demons.

Would you be offended if I told you from what I've read from you here and on that other missing87975 site that it makes me suspicious of Gene? Letting the "authorities contact you". Hugging him is a very strange reaction based on his injuries and the crime scene. Also the whole stealing 14 acres thing is such a red flag that's it's tough to not ignore. All of those things are VERY weird, but I guess I don't know Gene so maybe those are all just normal; does Gene have a super airtight alibi? I'm sure you've read this a thousand times but I would without a single doubt guess that the killer knew him personally. Also,

1. Finger prints on the back door? or anywhere else?
2. Caliber of weapon used?
3. Shell casings left behind?

I'm sorry if any of this is offensive or already answered elsewhere. I stumbled upon this case and it kind of struck something in me.

I am related to Jerry he is my great uncle. It's funny how Brian and his sister and mother disliked our whole family. You guys took his money shared it with your mother and went on a spending spree.you hired someone to kill your father. I can't believe how guilty you look when you say it's some random kid just driving by. We live in templeton ...funny how you guys never called him or talked to him. Then you get mad at gene the one person who made him happy. Your a selfish bastard

Any comments on what I said above Suzy? Where was all the physical evidence in this case?
