Ordered 2 filet mignon (one medium well, one medium), and one appetizer of Shrimp Tempura and asked for fried rice on one of the dinners.
Waitress brought the soup and said they had run out of salad. Obviously, thought they would be preparing some more. I was wrong. Salad was never mentioned again.
The reason I order filet mignon is because it is usually so tender. Not here. It was tough & both orders were cooked the same (not as I ordered). I even wondered if they didn't substitute round steak. I have never encountered tough filet mignon before. Also, there was no tasted to it. Tasted like something I would throw in my frying pan here at home. The cook gave me 2 complimentary grilled shrimp. Sure was glad I didn't order shrimp since he overcooked them and they were tough.
The shrimp tempura never arrived. Check my bill and didn't get charged for it. Did get charged for 2 orders of fried rice, but one was removed after I complained to the waitress.
A couple next to me with 2 kids gobbled up what they could and left rather quickly with 1/2 their food left on the table. Did get a to go box and salavaged something.
Next time I will head to the Shogun in Temple on Valley Mills Drive. It is worth the extra 30 miles to get great food and excellent service in a well run establishment.
I did not voice my concerns to management because I would never set foot inside this establishment again even if were free. If they ever read this critque I would suggest they head up to the one in Waco and experience first hand the way an efficient place is run.
